Fathers Day Gift Ideas

With Fathers Day so very close now, I thought I would compile together a little gift ideas post as they always seem well received and to be honest, I love doing them! I love reading these types of posts myself to get ideas for gifts, so I hope this gives you a little inspiration. I've been looking online a lot myself for some Fathers Day inspiration, and I've found House of Frasers gift guide hub pretty useful!

Bulldog Man`S Best Friend Duo Tin | Stripe Socks | Personalised Hammer | Mens Grooming Gift Set | Paul Smith London Extreme EDT

A great gift idea is a fragrance - aftershave is always a good gift to give to a male, I've picked the Paul Smith Extreme EDT Spray as it a scent which is woody and spicy and I know my Dad would like. Personalised gifts are usually a good idea too, I really like this Personalized hammer as it a really useful gift and I know the thought put into the gift will be appreciated. The Bulldog gift set is ideal as it contains a few essentials in a nice tin which can be used again. Socks - an obvious choice but Dad's can never have too many can they?! The Men's Grooming Gift Set Box* from House of Fraser is jam packed with luxury grooming products which i'm sure will be well appreciated by dad, and it is such a good deal.

The set includes: Elemis Spa Home Sharp Shower Body Wash, 2x Fuzzy Logic Strengthening Shampoo, Recipe for Men Ultra-Sensitive Shaving Foam,  Hanz de Fuko Hybridized Wax, Scaramouche & Fandango Hydrator, and a  Molton Brown Black Peppercorn Body Wash

If you spend over £10 on any beauty purchase online at House Of Fraser, you can purchase the Men's Grooming Box for just £20! So that means you could treat yourself, or even buy Dad something from the Beauty section online (maybe that aftershave he loves) and purchase the grooming box which is worth over £95 for just £20!

MiPac Duffel Bag from House of Fraser: Fathers Day Gift Guide

The Mi Pac Classic Duffel Bag is a great holdal bag for pretty much anyone. I am featuring this duffel bag as the final part of my Fathers Day Gift series. Although Fathers Day is now over, I still think this would make the perfect gift for your Dad, Granddad, or any man in your life.

As you can see from the first image, the bag looks very flat when it is empty. I wasn't sure how much I could fit inside the bag, but it is actually huge and spacious and I could fit a lot inside it. The bag seems to expand in size when it is full, leaving plenty of space for everything you need..(Width: 50cm x Depth: 28cm x Height: 28cm)

The bag has the usual holdall handles, and also an additional longer strap which is ideal to throw over your back if needs be. The longer strap is comfortable as it is slightly padded so is ideal if you are carrying it over your shoulders.
The bag is great also, as it is easily cleaned if it is to get dirty.
I love the navy and tan colour theme on the bag, I think it a really refreshing change as our family usually opt for plain monochrome duffell bags.

I know my Dad really appreciates useful gifts, which is why I chose the duffell bag. A duffell bag is useful for so many different occasions. I know this bag would be ideal for travelling on holiday or if he is going away for a few days to a Festival, or even for work. Not only that, but a duffell bag comes in use for everyone in the family.

You can purchase this bag from House of Fraser for £35 *currently £28* here.

Personalised Message Heart by The Illustration Garden : Fathers Day Gift Idea

Personalised Message Heart by The Illustration Garden

The Illustration Garden is an online store which sells beautiful and unique illustrations, gifts and decorations made by Gail Yerrill. Gail Yerrill has created illustrations for many children's books, and has worked with the BBC, Harrods and Marks and Spencer's, to name but a few.
The products featured on the Illustration Garden are made to order, and can be personalized to what ever you like, which makes items you purchase unique to only you.

When it comes to home ware, I love shabby chic pieces to decorate my bedroom with. I also think little items like this make perfect gifts, especially when they can be personalised!
I picked out this little personalised wedding message heart from The Illustration Garden as I thought it was adorable, and would look great in any room of the house. Of - course, as it is personalised, I chose the text to be printed on the plaque. I don't know anyone getting married very soon, so decided to make it a little gift to my Dad from me and my Sister. I thought it would make the perfect Fathers Day gift as he loves anything that is personalised - it is a great touch.

I really love the quality of the plaque. It looks perfect hung over a door handle or on a shelf. It arrived packaged really well and in fantastic condition. I would definitely purchase one of these again in the future as I think they make a fantastic gift for anyone.

The Personalised Wedding Message Heart is available on The Illustration Garden website here for only £7.99.*

Fathers Day Gift Guide: Mr Nutcase Phone Case

This is the second installment of my Fathers Day Gift Ideas Series... you can check out the first post here.
Fathers Day is fast approaching and I don't know about you, but my Dad is one of the most difficult people to buy for! He has just about everything so I have to put extra effort into giving something special. Personalised gifts are always a winner with my Dad, which is what I love about the gift I am featuring today - it is not only personalized but is useful too!

Mr Nutcase is an online store where you can create your own personalized cases for phones and other technology, such as iPads, iPods and Tablets. Mr Nutcase are really well known for their custom phone cases, which is what I will be sharing with you today.

To create your case, you simply choose the manufacturer of your device (mine was Apple but they have a huge list). You then choose the device you are buying the case for, and then select the case type. There are three types of cases to choose from, which are the Ultra Light Weight Slimline, the Executive Flip Leather Style, and the Full Wrap Around Premium Edition. I opted for the Ultra Light Weight Slimline case.

The site is super easy to use and navigate around. To create your own personalised phone case, which is what I did, was super straight forward. I opted for two pictures on mine (which are the band 'The Stray Cats' and the 'Million Dollar Quartet' if you were wondering). My Dad really loves his music, and it is a huge passion of his, so I knew instantly that using pictures of some of his favourite music artists would be a winner.

Delivery is super quick (and free Worldwide!) and the case arrived packaged well and in great condition. The quality of the phone case is brilliant, I would definitely repurchase from Mr Nutcase again as I am really impressed with the quality of the case. It looks so sleek and expensive. The images I chose to use for the phone case were printed on the phone case exactly as they appeared on the example on the screen - not pix-elated and look professional.  What I love about it the most, is that the phone cases are really affordable, as this case in particular cost only £14.95* which is very reasonable for a personalised phone case.

I think a phone case from Mr Nutcase would make such a great gift for anyone, not just Dad's. The great thing about Mr Nutcase is that you can choose from their own collections or personalise your case to anything you want - a collage of photos of family or friends, a few of your favourite images - absolutely anything, which is why it makes it so special and unique for the person receiving the case. Only they will have that phone case!

If you are interested in purchasing your very own case (or for a gift for someone else) Mr. Nutcase has a gift for you... a discount code! Enter the code Thanku10 at the check out to receive a generous 10% off your order!

Fathers Day Gift Ideas: Grooming Products from The Bluebeards Revenge

This is the first post of a new mini series of blog posts I am writing for gift ideas for Fathers Day. I did a post like this last year which proved popular, so I thought I would do one again this year. I decided to write a few different posts aimed at different areas, as all Dads are different! Today's installment is Grooming.

Fathers Day is fast approaching, soon it will be June 15th!
In my family, me and my Sister really like to spoil our Dad with some special gifts for Fathers Day. Our Dad has well and truly been the most amazing parent to us and he has always looked after us. I really like buying gifts for him at Fathers Day as my Dad isn't the type of person to spoil himself or buy himself things, so it is a real treat to see how appreciative he is when he opens his gifts (although he does tell us off for buying him things, I know he loves the thought and time that has gone into them!). I love buying grooming gifts as I know he will get a lot of use out of them. I particularly like giving him gifts such as shaving products and fragrances as these are the products he uses the most, so was delighted to discover the brand The Blue Beards Revenge, who stock shaving products, hair and body products, razors and blades, fragrance and body sprays, soap, shaving creams, accessories and gift sets. There really is something for every man at Bluebeards Revenge!
The packaging is something that really caught my eye when I was browsing the website; I think it is so quirky and manly too! The description of the products on the packaging really makes me laugh, with a lot of banter- or shall I say Manter.
Two products I am featuring on this wishlist today is the Cooling Moisturizer and the Eau De Toilette

The Bluebeards Revenge Cooling Moisturiser, The Bluebeards Revenge Eau De Toilette, The Bluebeards Revenge EDT

The Bluebeards Revenge Cooling Moisturiser, The Bluebeards Revenge Eau De Toilette, The Bluebeards Revenge EDT, Fathers Day Gift Ideas The Bluebeards Revenge,

EDT
The notes of this fragrance feature a rich blend of jasmine, black tea and watermint. The base notes include Madagascar vanilla highlighted by sandalwood and patchouli along with oakmoss and musk.
A few people have commented on the scent stating that they think it is a unique scent they haven't smelt before and I have to agree; I haven't smelt anything similar. The scent is quite a subtle scent - not too overpowering, not too light - just right; and lingers on the skin for hours. I love the sleek packaging - I think it looks very edgy and cool, and would be proudly placed in any mans fragrance collection - not just Dads.
My male tester states: "The fragrance has a great scent. It is masculine and I love the blue packaging of the bottle. It is great value for money".
The EDT is available on their official website or at Shaving Shack for £19.99.

The Bluebeards Revenge Eau De Toilette, The Bluebeards Revenge EDT, Fathers Day Gift Ideas The Bluebeards Revenge,

Cooling Moisturiser
The moisturiser is another great product, which claims to sooth and re-invigorate the skin. The manly ingredients in this moisturiser include  Prickly Pear, Stinging Nettle and Fenugreek, which are all beneficial in achieving a smooth and soothing moisturise to the skin. The moisturiser also has a cooling agent which makes application a lot more enjoyable. I think a moisturiser makes a good gift for all Dads, as it is ideal to use both on face and body, and is a skin care product which takes little to no effort to use!
I have been informed by my male tester that the moisturiser, in his own words, is "amazing - the smell is great. It is like a 2 in 1 as the moisturiser softens the skin while also giving an 'after shave like' scent, which lasts well throughout the day. The great thing about it is it doesn't irritate the skin. The packaging is masculine which you don't find much in skin care. It is nice to see a moisturiser aimed for men".
The Cooling Moisturiser is available at Shaving Shack or on their official website for £9.99.

 The Bluebeards Revenge Cooling Moisturiser

Blue Beards Revenge products are available online at their Primary Stockist which is Shaving Shack. Be sure to check out other products on the site too! You can also check out their official website here.
I love the brand Bluebeards Revenge; it has a great manly scent I know any Dad would love!

What do you buy your Father on Fathers Day?
Have you heard of The Bluebeards Revenge brand before?

Fathers Day Gift Ideas

Fathers Day Gift Ideas

Father's Day is just around the corner on June 16th, so I have had my thinking cap on scouring the interwebs and the shops for some Fab bits and pieces for my Daddi-o. Hopefully you will also find this post helpful - I love preparing gifts!

Paper Themes Personalised Posters

Firstly I am going to mention these gorgeous personalised posters from Paper Themes which I have blogged about previously here. As you can see they are gorgeously presented and I am sure any Dad would love to hang this up with pride and joy in their home. I adore giving personalised presents as they just know that extra effort and thought has been put into it. I cant recommend Paper Themes enough!

Moonpig Personalised Mugs and Gifts

Following the previous gift idea, Moonpig also offer lots of lovely personalised gifts such as mugs which I have bought in the past. You can personalise by adding text, pictures and photos. What Dad doesn't love a good brew!? Other lovely gifts they have are chocolates, wall art, plants, t-shirts and off course they're ever famous personalised cards. I really recommend Moonpig as their delivery is super quick!

Vinyl Wall Clock

This wall clock from River Island can make any room super retro and cool! My Dad would adore this, I am sure any record lovers would too! It is limited edition so if you do want to get it I would grab it quick, it is only £10!

Cadbury Chocolate Treasure Box

If you are really struggling on what to get your Dad for Fathers Day, his fave chocolate usually goes down a treat and you can't really go wrong! I found these Dad Treasure Boxes on The Cadbury Gifts Direct wesbite for just £10. It is stuffed with a huge 360 g Dairy Milk bar along with lots of other Cadbury chocolates. They also sell a personalised Dairy Milk Bar for Father Day along with lots of other lovely Fathers Day chocolate gifts.

Me To You Dad's Shed/Office Plaque

These are so inexpensive and a lovely personal touch to add to your Dads desk room or shed. They cost only £3.99 from Clintons and are a lovely gift from a child or adult of any age!

Album Sleeve Frame

I picked this frame up from Home Bargains for a bargain of £1.99 (RRP £6). They are unavailable online but I have seen lots left in a few of my local stores. I know many Dad's would love something like this to showcase their old record sleeves, especially as a lot of them were beautifully decorated and they are probably just sat in a box up the loft somewhere - it is a shame to leave them unnoticed! I picked up just the one but I might go back and get two more as they are so reasonably priced.

Magazine Subscription

These days you can get a magazine for pretty much any interest or hobby, and rightly so! Magazines can be expensive though, so why not treat Dad to a year subscription to his favourite magazine? W H Smith have a fantastic selection of different magazine subscriptions with various prices, mostly reasonable.

And if all else fails...
Typical 'Go - To' Fathers Day Gifts

Book, DVD, CD, Slippers, Socks, Photo frame, Tie, Cuff Links, Chocolate and Sweets, Tools, Dressing Gown, Tickets to see his favourite show/comedian/entertainment/musician/play/sports game!

What are your top tips for Fathers Day gifts?
Have you got any of these in mind?

Beautiful Personalised Posters From Paper Themes

Thanks Dad Poster
by Paper Themes

I recently discovered a fantastic website called Paper Themes. They specialize in Wedding stationary, gifts, and accessories, as well as a lot of personalised products too.
As it is coming up to Fathers Day, I thought I would show you how beautiful their personalised posters are.

I opted for this lovely 'Thanks Dad'* poster which I know my Dad will adore. Parents really love personal touches to gifts, as it shows the extra special thought put into them - I am sure anyone in your family would adore something like this to live in their home.

You can personalise the posters text to whatever you like, making it a very special piece as there would be no other in the World like yours!
Paper Themes are really helpful, as after payment you email them directly with your personalised information - which means it will be created exactly as you wish. The product comes very well packaged too; in a circular tube with tissue paper covering the poster. Paper Themes take extra care ensuring your product arrives safely to your door.

I think the Personalised Posters make a fantastic gift for a family member or friend, or even a unique touch to add to your own home. The poster can become the focus point in the room, as it is unique and an interesting piece that you know all your visitors will love. The posters would look stunning in a frame, surrounded by family photographs as it would tie it all together.
The poster itself is glossy and has a lovely finish to it, making it look fantastic and sophisticated. The quality of the paper is brilliant and the print on the poster looks exactly as it does on the Paper Themes website.

I would definitely recommend Paper Themes if you are looking for beautifully made personalised items as they take such extra care to ensure your product is exactly how you want it to be.

Visit Paper Themes website here, where you too can discover many other of their stunning personalised products that would compliment any home.
