Tesco Pro Formula Range

I'm no stranger to using own-brand beauty products, and thought I would share a few of my favourite products from Tesco. I tend to pick a lot of things up from Tesco, as their Pro Formula range is very reasonably priced and are really good products that have worked well for me.

The Pro Formula Radiance Toner is a great product to cleanse and refresh the skin. It is really inexpensive but does a great job of removing make-up.
The Pro Formula Exfoliating Facial Scrub is a really great product. As you can see from the picture my tube has seen better days as I have had it a while now, It cost around £2 and is just as good as other facial scrubs I have tried which were much more expensive than this.
The Pro Formula Anti Dandruff Shampoo is a product I pick up usually once a Month because I suffer from a sensitive scalp. I often struggle with hair products as they often make my skin flare up, but this shampoo is great for sensitive skin and helps to keep dandruff at bay too.
The Pro Formula Purifying Day Cream is a light mosituriser which I use on a Morning before I apply my make up. It doesn't cling to dry patches and doesn't make my skin any more oily, while still leaving my skin feeling soft and refreshed.

All of the products I have tried from the Pro Formula range are really inexpensive but deliver with great results. I definitely recommend looking into the range if you are looking to alternate from high - end products to save a little money, as these few products from Tesco do a fine job and are just as good.

Have you ever tried any own - brand beauty products from the supermarket?

First Impressions of the Eco Tools Bronzer Brush

I am a big fan of Eco Tools Make Up Brushes. I have quite the collection now; a lot of them being firm favourites that I use everyday. I love the ethos behind Ecotools, as their make up brushes are made from recycled aluminium, bamboo and have cruelty free bristles, which as a brand makes them very enviromentally friendly.

I have been after a new bronzer brush for a while. Bronzer isn't something I use every day - I haven't found the perfect bronzer for me just yet but I really wanted to invest in a good bronzer brush for when I am wanting to add some glow and colour to my face in the Summer Months.
The Eco Tools Bronzer Brush is the perfect size for distributing the product, as it is a large brush I use it lightly when applying bronzer and the application is great.
For the time I have been using the brush, it hasn't shed at all - I must say that out of all my make - up brushes, the Eco Tools brushes are the brushes that shed the least.
I have used this brush with bronzer and I have used it as a powder brush, and it works well as a tool for both. I have found that I only need a small amount of product onto the brush as it distributes the product really well and if there is too much product on the brush, my face is covered in the product which is great for when you are using the brush to apply powder, but not bronzer. I do really like the quality of the brush and it applies powder really well. Although I don't think it is the best bronzer brush out there, I do think it is a great budget - friendly bronzer or powder brush.
The bronzer brush is available to buy from MyPure online.

Alva Organic Creamy Lipstick in Naked Pink

Having quite a large collection of lipsticks in my beauty stash, I have become quite well - behaved when it comes to picking up new ones. I have been very selective and quite sensible with the colours I have been choosing - I have tonnes of plums and reds so I have stayed away from temptation to buy more. A shade of lipstick I am always happy to add to my collection though, is a nude pink. Nude pinks are so easy to wear for me, as I find that 'my lips but better' tone so easy to pull off and I don't have to worry too much if the shade suits me etc. I certainly don't need any more nude pinks as I have quite a lot already, but I know this new lipstick will be very well-loved, and as I tend to use these shades every Day, it will be very well-used, too.

The lipstick in question Today is one by the natural and organic beauty brand; Alva, and is in the shade Naked Pink. Naked Pink is one of four shades from their Orgnanic Creamy Collection, the other shades being a red, orange and purple. The lipsticks are certified vegan and organic, and cost £14.15 each. I will be the first to admit that I think the price is quite high; up there with the likes of other high-end brands. Do I think Alva delivers on the lipstick front? Yes I do. The Organic Creamy Collection was created with ingredients such as apricot kernel oil, natural vitamin E, and cocoa butter to ensure the lips are left feeling soft, silky and best of all, moisturized. The product applies well, being able to build up the colour as much as you like without the product drying out the lips. This is a great attribute to the product if you suffer from sensitive skin like me, as I often find that constantly reapplying a lip product makes my lips very sore and irritated. The lipstick lasts well on the lips for around 4 hours without the need to reapply it, which is good going for a natural product to last so well in my opinion.
Alva's Organic Creamy Lipstick in Naked Pink  is available to buy online from MyPure.

An introduction to NHP Haircare

Since having my hair cut a few Weeks ago I have been taking more time out to look after my hair. My hair was badly damaged before I had it cut, so I have since decided I am going to try and use as little heat as possible and have tried to stop blow-drying my hair if possible. Hair products have also been key in helping my hair stay in good condition, I have been trying a few different products and have come to enjoy a brand in particular; NHP: Nutri Argan Natural Haircare Program.

NHP Nourish Hair Mask is a deeply nourishing mask made with natural Argan Oil and Macadamia Oil. The hair mask helps to moisturise and restore dry, damaged and coloured hair, and also helps to control frizzy hair. I really enjoy using this hair mask, my hair feels so sleek and smooth after I use this.
NHP Nourish Hair Bath is a gentle shampoo which is  rich in natural Argan and Macadamia Oil. It helps to nourish dry and damaged hair and protects the fibres of the hair. After using the product, hair is left feeling soft and looking shiny, smooth and healthy. I would recommend using this shampoo once or twice a Week as a break from your every-day shampoo, as this is very moisturising and I think it is definitely perfect for a pamper.
NHP Perfect Styling Cream/Instant Care Mask is an intensive spray mask which adds silkiness and shine to all hair types. It can used on both damp and dry hair to achieve a natural look. This product is really effective and I am impressed with the results. I will definitely be repurchasing this as it is a really good spray mask.

I feel that the condition of my hair has improved and it looks much more healthy in the past few Weeks since I have been using all three of these NHP products.

Recent Fashion Lusts

I have been spotting so many people rocking paisley prints recently and I really love the look. I think these paisley print joggers would be perfect to wear as you can style them with any colour, or mute the pattern down with black accessories. I think they would look great with this split back top from New Look and the chelsea boots from Topshop. I thought that the three together would make the outfit look comfortable but also smart with the boots. I really love this messenger bag from River Island, I thought it would bring in the colours from the joggers.

Black and White Wax Review

It might come as a surprise to you that I am a huge fan of hairstyles such as the quiff, victory rolls, and the pompadour - which is definitely one of my favourites. I love the 1950's pin up girl and rockabilly hair styles and I occasionally, when I am feeling brave (or daring), will do something a little different with my hair and try and recreate something similar with my own hair. I am the first to admit it; I am not brilliant at it. I think it all comes with time and practice.

I used the Black and White pomade to create those looks. I really like the product, it has helped me to create a hold for a rockabilly/pin up girl hair style. I wasn't sure if it would be able to hold my hair as it is quite a light pomade, but it does the job and I am pretty impressed with it. The pomade stands the test of time quite literally - it has been a popular product since the 1920's, and it does actually last all day - no deflating hair do's here!
I have used the product with my hair down too, just to add a little volume to it, which works really well. I think the Black and White pomade could easily become a firm favourite because it works well for my every day look, as well as creating a special 'do like this one.
I think that the product is value for money as you only need to use a small amount each time so a little goes a long way.

What hair products do you use to create your favourite hair styles?

FabYouLess Card and Giveaway!

I was recently contacted by a company called Fabyouless, who are a company which specialize in a card membership with a difference.
Fabyouless Card membership gives you a 25% off or a 2 for 1 discount on a huge selection of treatments and sessions every time you choose to use your card.
There are so many treatments you are able to take advantage of your discount with your Fabyouless card, such as beauty, clinic, dental, fitness, hair, holistic therapy, makeover, nails, spa, tanning and more.

I was offered to try out a Fabyouless card to use and share my thoughts with you all. The Fabyouless card costs £49.95 and is valid for 12 Months. A subscription service is also available where you would pay £4.95 a Month for the card.
To use, you simply log onto the Fabyouless website and search for a partner venue on the venue search page. You can also filter the search by distance, offer, availability and type of service. Once you have searched, a list will appear of all of the venues which partner with Fabyouless. You can then go on to look further onto each of these venues, where plenty of information is provided including the full postal address, distance, availability, discount and further information of each venue.
There were over 70 venues in a 10 mile radius to my house which partnered with Fabyouless; quite a few I had no idea existed and some of the venues I have visited before. You are able to request an appointment with some of the venues online through the website, or just call them stating you will be using your Fabyouless card.
The website is really easy and straight-forward to use. The layout is clear and all the information you would need is listed on the website. I have seen so many good reviews of FabYouLess online, I am really impressed.

Although I did initially think that £49.95 is a lot of money for a discount card, I do think the card is worth the money if you have regular hair appointments and have regular beauty treatments every few Weeks, as 25% is a great saving if you are on a budget and often do spend your money on beauty treatments. I imagine that the card would make a great gift for any beauty lover or someone that enjoys a good pamper on a regular basis. I think the Monthly subscription service sounds great, as you are able to trial out the card for three Months to see if it works out well for you.

I was also kindly offered if I would like to giveaway a card to a lucky reader of Zoe Lianne! All you have to do to enter is complete each task on the rafflecopter form below. Good luck!

Baker Days Letterbox Cake

I was recently contacted by Baker Days; a company which specialize in personalized celebration cakes, to see if I wanted to try out their services, and better still, receive a cake. Of-course I said yes, as cake is one of my very favourite things in life. Who doesn't love cake!

I was sent a letterbox cake; as the name suggests, is a cake that is designed carefully so that it can be popped through your letterbox just like a letter! It measures 12cm x 2.5cm. I love the concept of a cake being delivered through your letterbox, meaning you don't have to wait around for the postman to sign for your parcels, it comes straight through the door! It is also great if you are unable to visit family or a friend but want them to have a special cake - it can be sent to them without the worry of them being in the house so the surprise factor will still be there. The letterbox cake gives around 3-4 portions, which is perfect for a token gift for that special celebration.

Baker Days are able to create personalized and photo cakes, as well as having a HUGE selection of designs and categories for you to pick from. I decided on a congratulations cake as I recently passed my Driving Test, so I thought it would be very fitting. I have no family Birthdays coming up so I thought I would prolong the celebrations of passing my test with cake - this was very well received by my family!
The cake I selected is the You are a Star! cake. I really love the cute star and bird design with the floral pattern, it is very me. I was able to personalise the wording on the cake, so I decided I would have my name on the cake, making it super personal and something to remember.
The cake also came with a cute card, balloons, and candles to pop on the cake. I thought this was a very special touch.

There is a choice of different recipes for the cake, and I opted for chocolate chip sponge cake made with only Belgian Chocolate as chocolate is my favourite type of cake. There is something for everyone, with a choice of fruit cake, chocolate chip sponge cake, vanilla sponge cake, as well as dairy free and gluten wheat free cakes.
I have to say the cake tasted delicious. I am a big cake fiend so I have high standards in cake (cake is definitely my weakness so I have become an expert over the Years!) and this one definitely hit the spot. The icing tasted great and wasn't too thick which is just the way I like it. The chocolate sponge tasted sweet, was moist, fresh, and not dry at all.

The cake was packaged really well and was in perfect condition when it arrived at my house. The cake is cased in an adorable cake tin, which again is really useful and can be used again for storage. I did wonder if it would stay together when dropping through the letterbox, but in fact it arrived very safely in one piece.

I would recommend Baker Days if you are looking for a special token gift for a celebration. I think this would be a lovely gift for anyone that loves cake. I will definitely be buying Baker Days cakes in the future - I love the concept of the letterbox cake and I know quite a few people that would appreciate it!

Baker Days have a variety of different cakes and designs to choose from. You can check out their entire range on their website
