Herbalife Skin

When it comes to skin care, I love to try out new products but I do tend to stick to what I know. My skin care routine consists of a day cream, a night cream, a cleanser, toner and a face mask and that is about it, I like to keep it simple really. I was recently contacted by Herbalife to see if I would like to give some of their skin care products a go. Always up for a challenge I of-course said yes, having heard only good things about Herbalife before.

I have been using the Herbalife Skin Protective Moisturiser, Replenishing Night Cream and Purifying Mint Clay Mask in my usual routine, but Herbalife do have a full line of skin care products including cleansers, toners, eye cream and scrubs, as well as a one week results kit , which includes pretty much everything you need skincare-wise for seven days.

The moisturiser has been what I use first on a morning, I haven't really noticed too much difference from using this product compared to the moisturiser I was using before. It does leave my skin feeling smooth and hydrated, and is also SPF 30 which is great for the warmer Months in the Year to keep your skin protected.
The night cream has been great applying just before bed. It sinks well into the skin without feeling too heavy or greasy on the skin. I wake up with great skin and my face feels soft and super moisturised, I would definitely recommend this night cream to pretty much anyone.

My favourite product out of the three has to be the Mint Clay Mask. I love a good face mask, so they are always a product I look the most forward to trying out. Herbalife claim that this clay mask improves the appearance of pores after just one use, which is a pretty big claim so I was interested to see how I got on with it. Having been using it for a good few Weeks now, I have to say my skin has improved and I think it is thanks to this product. This leaves my skin feeling soft and the pores on my skin don't look quite as noticeable anymore, which is great!

Overall I am pretty impressed with the products I have tried. Have you tried any Herbalife products?

Skin Care Saviours

I like to keep my skin care routine pretty simple and tend to stick to the basics. I use a cleanser, toner, a day cream, moisturiser and an eye-cream and that is pretty much it for me. I am usually quite fussy when it comes to choosing skin care as my skin is sensitive, so when I find products which work well for me and don't cause me to break out in a rash, I kind-of want to shout it from the rooftops. I've been trying out a few new products recently and have discovered two skin care saviours that I really can't praise enough.

Pharma Nord's Q 10 Revitalizing Day Cream*
The Q 10 Revitalizing Day Cream is a natural and paraben free product, which is made from ingredients which protect the skin and promotes natural skin repair. The cream contains vegetable oil rather than mineral oil, which ensures the cream is absorbed by your skin and doesn't clog pores. Although this product is aimed at mature skin, I do feel it works well for me and I would recommend it to anyone my age as well as people with mature skin. I have been using this day cream for a few Weeks now and I really like it. It doesn't cause any irritation to my skin and my face feels really soft and clear after application. The cream isn't greasy and melts into the skin really well.

Elemis Pro - Radiance Cream Cleanser*
This cleanser melts make - up away brilliantly and you are left with squeaky clean, soft, smooth and radiant skin. I like that a little product goes a long way, it makes cleaning your face such a quick task when you don't have to keep reapplying more product! I absolutely love this. It is a lot more pricey than I would normally spend on a cleanser, but I think I may have to push the boat out and buy the full size product it really is that great.

What products would you say are your skin care saviours? Have you tried these products before?

Current Face Cream Favourite

Just a quick post today, I have a firm favourite product of the Month for you Today.
I always have a face cream on the go - in fact, I have quite a collection of face creams to choose from. I have been using the Australian Body Care Tea Tree Oil Balancing Face Cream* recently and wanted to share a few thoughts with you as I really like it.
I have been using the cream as my day cream and have been applying it to my face on a Morning. The product itself leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturised and I just love the scent of Tea Tree Oil. I feel that this has helped reduce the amount of blemishes on my skin.
The face cream is available to buy for £11.05 on the Feel Unique website here.

Madara Regenerating Night Cream

When it comes to skincare, I have mentioned before that I have a few firm favourites but I am always on the look out for new products to try. I was wanting to try out a new night cream, and came across the Madara Regenerating Night Cream which claims to help stimulate cell renewal and reduce visible fine lines, as well as repairing skin damage and supporting skin's restorative functions. As the brand claims it helps to achieve hydrated skin, I was eager to give this a go.
The night cream is natural and organic; not tested on animals, and is suitable for all skin types. Perfect for those with sensitive skin!

I have been using this as my only night cream during August, so that I could see if I see any difference to my skin. I thought that the product felt really silky and didn't feel tacky or greasy once applied to the face. After using this for a few Weeks, I have noticed my skin is left feeling soft to touch. I think it is one of those products which leaves your skin feeling very 'fresh' the next Day. I am impressed with the way my skin feels after using this for a length of time. I'm not sure if it is a regenerating product, but I do notice my skin looks and feels better than it did before.
I think the packaging looks great and I love the silver pump. I really like simple packaging like this.

I use Madara's Balancing Toner; which I have talked about previously here, and think that both products work really well in conjunction together.

I would recommend this product if you are looking for a night cream which helps to smooth out your skin. I personally do feel like it is a high end price, but the product itself works really well for me and it is naturally made so it is worth the price for me.

The Madara Regenerating Night Cream* is available online at Mypure for the retail price of £26.

Tesco Pro Formula Range

I'm no stranger to using own-brand beauty products, and thought I would share a few of my favourite products from Tesco. I tend to pick a lot of things up from Tesco, as their Pro Formula range is very reasonably priced and are really good products that have worked well for me.

The Pro Formula Radiance Toner is a great product to cleanse and refresh the skin. It is really inexpensive but does a great job of removing make-up.
The Pro Formula Exfoliating Facial Scrub is a really great product. As you can see from the picture my tube has seen better days as I have had it a while now, It cost around £2 and is just as good as other facial scrubs I have tried which were much more expensive than this.
The Pro Formula Anti Dandruff Shampoo is a product I pick up usually once a Month because I suffer from a sensitive scalp. I often struggle with hair products as they often make my skin flare up, but this shampoo is great for sensitive skin and helps to keep dandruff at bay too.
The Pro Formula Purifying Day Cream is a light mosituriser which I use on a Morning before I apply my make up. It doesn't cling to dry patches and doesn't make my skin any more oily, while still leaving my skin feeling soft and refreshed.

All of the products I have tried from the Pro Formula range are really inexpensive but deliver with great results. I definitely recommend looking into the range if you are looking to alternate from high - end products to save a little money, as these few products from Tesco do a fine job and are just as good.

Have you ever tried any own - brand beauty products from the supermarket?

First Thoughts: Ordinary Skincare Extraordinary Night Cream

Ordinary Skincare Extraordinary Night Cream

I thought I would share my thoughts on a night cream I have been trying out recently. It is from the brand Ordinary Skincare; a brand I have never heard of or tried before, so I was eager to see how I felt using the product. Ordinary Skincare are a brand fairly new to the UK, who are a highly regarded specialist skincare brand from South Africa.

 First Thoughts

I really did enjoy using this product. I have been using a sample of the Ordinary Skincare Extraordinary Night Cream for a few Weeks now and I do like it as a night cream. The cream is quite thick and has a creamy texture to it, but not greasy. This is something I look for in a night cream as I hate feeling like I have greasy skin before bed! The product smells pleasant and
I have somehow developed a lot of dry skin patches on my face recently, so I am now trying to use products which will help me with this. I feel that this night cream does help with my dry patches as it is so rich and moisturising, it leaves my skin feeling hydrated and fresh on a Morning. As I have only been using a few samples of the product I don't feel I am able to give a full review, pbut my first impressions of the product is that it works and is something I would consider using in the future.

Ordinary Skincare products are now available to buy online at http://www.ordinaryskincare.co.uk/

Yung Skin Face Cream and Food

I have been getting more into my skin care recently, and when contacted to see if I wanted to try some of the Yungskin* products, of-course I said yes! I had heard a little through the grapevine about the Yungskin face cream, and being very intrigued to try the Yungskin 'Food' - I was very excited to trial these products out.

Yung Skin is a brand which is based on the principles of homeopathy and acupuncture to help improve mature skin. Yung Skin products aim to "restore skins vitality, regenerate and rejuvenate skin cells, tighten skin, reduce appearance of wrinkles and blemishes, and to ensure youthful looking and glowing skin". The products utilise quantum energy science and cellular stimulation to rejuvenate the skin. It is all very scientific and technical - in simpler terms, the products have basically been infused with energies which activate the Acupuncture points and muscular commands in the skin.

Yung Skin Face Cream in Light

I decided on the face cream in light, as it is more appropriate for me as I have young skin. The rich face cream is more suited for more mature skin. I opted to use this face cream as my day cream and night cream. The cream is not too thick, heavy or greasy which is perfect for using both day and night. I have been using this for a couple of weeks now and have noticed that my blemish prone skin has calmed down a lot. My skin feels softer and slightly tighter. When I first began using the cream, it felt slightly tingly on the skin, but nothing to be concerned about - this is how it works - it is just the blood circulation. As I am in my mid - Twenties I luckily have not had any wrinkle concerns just yet, but time is ticking and I definitely want to take care of my skin the best I can. I would recommend this face cream if you are looking for a product that not only moisturises your skin, but also promotes healthier looking skin and improves the appearance of your skin. I am really impressed with all of the benefits of using this face cream.
Yung Skin also kindly sent some little sample pots to maybe pass onto a friend, which I am going to give to my Sister - I am sure she will love it just as much as I do.

Yungskin Food

The 'Food' was something I was very interested in trying out. Yung Skin state that "pH alkaline liquid which has been infused Homeopathically with the energies of various ingredients to feed and rejuvenate the skin from within.". It is suggested you use the face cream and food in combination together for best results, which is what I did.
There are minimal ingredients in the food; all including properties which help to rejuvenate the skin from within. You can read more about them here. I added 10 drops in a small glass of water both Morning and Night. Personally, I couldn't taste any change to my water, which is a great plus as it made no difference.

In conclusion, I feel my skin feels and looks healthier. My redness areas have calmed down a noticeable amount - enough that people have commented on my skin looking 'glowing'. I would repurchase this in the future. Although I am no science - whiz and don't know the ins - and - outs of how it actually works, what I know is that it does work for me and my skin. I have found it quite interesting to find out a little more about looking after my skin in preparation for when I get older.

You can view the entire Yung Skin range on their website here.

*The Yungskin product range, in the EU, will be distributed only through certified practitioners and beauty therapists - because the facelift reaction on some people can be quite dramatic and Yungskin feel there is a need for the client to be educated by the practitioner so that if a reddening of their skin does take place they know that it is normal for them and will abate within 20 minutes.
