How To Keep Your Feet Looking Beautiful

As the Summer is coming up, I thought I would share my top tips on how to keep your feet looking beautiful. Our feet do a lot for us - we should look after them!

  • Moisturise your feet - as well as cleansing your feet every day, using a moisturiser or a foot cream on your feet will help to prevent any dryness or cracked skin. It will also leave them feeling super soft too, and smelling lovely! I have been using the Scholl Velvet Smooth Intense Serum recently, which is great to apply to your feet when they are feeling dry, as it really improves the appearance. I have noticed a huge difference in my feet since using it.
  • Exfoliate your feet once a Week by using a good scrub, which will help to remove dead skin cells and keep your feet looking healthy.
  • Use a foot file or a similar device to remove any hard skin. Always be careful though!
  • Certain shoes sometimes cause blisters, cracked skin or irritation, so it is best to ensure your shoes are as comfortable as can be. Insoles and Heel Cushions (I really like Scholl's Invisible Gel  Heel Cushions for nights out) are a great way to keep your feet comfortable.
  • If shoes do cause you any irritation and leave your feet looking and feeling sore, plasters will help to comfort your poor tootsies, I always try and be prepared for sore feet by taking plasters when I am off to a special event.
  • Tackle fungal nail infections and any other foot infections (like verrucas) by getting them treated promptly. Always ask the advice from a medical professional if unsure.
  • Feet sweat. It is a fact of life, our feet move a lot and do a lot, so it is completely natural for feet to sweat. Sweat doesn't create an odour; odours are actually made from bacteria in the shoes - something I only learnt myself recently! Using a shoe spray like the Scholl Fresh Step Antipersperant helps to ensure there are no odours from your shoes. It smells really fresh and has given my old running trainers a new lease of life!
  • Have a pamper session for your feet - give yourself a foot massage, a pedicure, all that lovely stuff to leave your feet looking and feeling beautiful.

Living Nature Firming Flax Serum

Today is a small review on Living Nature's new Firming Flax Serum.
I was sent a few small sample sized sachets to trial. I wanted to share my thoughts of the serum with you all. As the product sizes that I have tried were quite small, I cant give a thorough review as I usually would, but will still share with you my thoughts on the serum so far.

Living Nature is a brand I have become very familiar with through blogging. I have tried out some of their make up and skin care, and have been really impressed by the natural brand. I was looking forward to trying out the Firming Flax Serum*: a serum which aims to give firmer and smoother skin.

To use the serum, you simply apply the product directly to the face Morning and Night after cleansing and prepping your skin. I tended to focus on the areas which wrinkles appear, such as the forehead and 'my laughter lines' around my smile. The serum works by making your pores contract, while still leaving the skin feeling moisturised, helping to enable less lines and wrinkles.
The serum is suitable for all skin types so is recommendable to anyone that wants smoother skin and are looking for a product to help soften wrinkles and lines.

Having used the samples, my skin feels very slightly tighter, which is impressive after only trialing the product samples. I would be interested to see the effects having used a full size product. I have quite young skin so using a firming serum isn't something I would have thought of using, but I want to prepare my skin and look after it the best I can while I am younger... and the years are totting up quickly, I am not exactly a Spring Chicken anymore!

If you are interested in the Living Nature Firming Flax Serum, it is available to purchase at the Botanical Brands website here for £31.50 for 13ml of product.

March Favourites

March 2014 Beauty Favourites

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette
One of the products I have been completely loving in March is The Naked 3 palette from Urban Decay. I was actually super lucky and won it from a giveaway back in February by the lovely Daniella (thanks so much!) and I can completely understand the hype about it. It is super pigmented, the colour range is beautiful and I have loved experimenting with more rosier toned shades rather than my normal neutral eyes.

Jelly Pong Pong Duo Bronzer in Caribbean Sun
I am a big fan of blush, but find it super difficult to find bronzing products which look natural on my very pale skin. Although this blush and bronzer duo is probably aimed for the warmer Months, I really love the bronzer as it looks so natural and not muddy on my skin. The blush is also a very lovely flush of pink too.

Soap and Glory You Wont Believe Your Eyes Serum
I suffer with dark and heavy under eye circles, and no concealer can hide them. I have actually had this for well over a year now but forgot about it in my stash and rediscovered it a few weeks back. I look a lot more awake in a Morning after I have applied this the night before. I love the cooling sensation from the roller ball applicator too!

Balance Me Radiance Face Oil
This is the first facial oil I have ever used and I am so glad I have finally jumped onto the bandwagon! I love that it is a rollerball applicator which makes it super easy and non-messy to use. My skin feels so much different since bringing this into my skin routine, its definitely become a firm favourite of mine.
