Uppercut Deluxe Pomade

Uppercut Deluxe Pomade

If you or someone you know is really into hair styling, but cant quite get wax or gel to work for you, I recommend using the Uppercut Deluxe Pomade. You only need to use a very small amount, yet still achieve a look which will last all day. The product itself has a sticky texture and a very pleasant scent. You can purchase this from their website for £14.49. It is a little on the pricey side for a 12m tin, but it lasts a long time because of only needing too use such a small amount. This product is more suited for men's short hair, and is great for retro looks, but I think it is still a great product for the ladies out there to use too, especially if you have a short hairstyle and like a vintage look.

I found out about this brand from an article featured in FRONT magazine, they recommended a few different pomades. I checked out the uppercut website and came across the deluxe pomades. I bought the product and gave it to a male friend to try out, he was very pleased with the results, as he has trouble finding hair styling products that work for him.

Review: Soap and Glory Hand Food

Soap and Glory Hand Food

Soap and Glory Hand Food Hand Cream, £5 from Boots

Soap and Glory's Hand Food is one their infamous products they are so well - known and loved for.

It is in the scent 'Original Pink' which is S&G'S original scent of orange leaf, lemon, peach, strawberries, summer rose, gardenia blooms and jasmine. Hand Food also contains she butter, macadamia oil and marshmallow, which makes it smell super sweet and leaves your hands smelling of loveliness.

The hand cream itself is super - hydrating, sinking into the skin within minutes. Hand Food moisturises your hands so they are left feeling super soft and smooth, say good bye to dry hands if you use this!
The scent is gorgeous (sorry I know its annoying attempting to describe a scent) but it really is, you have to go and give it a sniff if you haven't yet, I know you will fall in love with it.
This is something I am always recommending to friends and whenever I take it out my bag the all want to use it!

What hand cream do you use?

Benefit Sun Beam

Benefit Sun Beam

Available from Benefit for £19.50

I am sure you have all heard of Benefits infamous highlighter 'Sun Beam'. It is a bronze highlighter which is perfect for a Summer glow. It is aimed to give off a sunkissed radiance to the face, mainly the brow and cheek bones. It has been suggested to use with your fingers instead of applying straight to your face with the brush.
The product does blend nicely onto the skin and does last well through - out the day.
Personally, I have very pale skin (sob) and the highlighter for me is way too dark. I am sure it would look fantastic on other skin tones, but unfortunately doesn't work great for me. I have tried using it as a bronzer instead though, and it looks alright! A little shimmery but workable. If you are a pale girly like me I would recommend trying it as a bronzer instead as it works a lot better for me that way, anyway.

Have you tried any Benefit highlighters? Which would you suggest for a pale girly like me?

Photographs on this particular blog post belong to me. Please ask permission if you wish to use them.

Elemis Tranquil Touch Body Wash

Elemis Spa Home
Tranquil Touch
Creamy Body Wash*

Being a self - confessed beauty worshshipper, it is quite the norm for me to have a hundred products on the go at once. I have many bath and body products I could fill a house with, I am trying to curb my obsession though, by using up all of my products before buying more. I have just finished this product (like a true #bblogger by photographing it first ;) ) and thought I would tell you all about it.

Elemis is a brand I have used very few products from, I like the things I have tried but I feel they are pretty expensive for what they are. This tranquil touch cream body wash is probably one of them. I do really like it, it smells quite nice, and does leave my skin feeling really soft and smelling lovely after use. The scents in this are pathcouli, vetiver and cedarwood, which are often scents in many body washes. I prefer body washes like this which lather nicely, rather than the very cheap 'gel' textured ones.
The body wash is very thick, creamy and lathers quite well.

The full sized 300 ml body wash is available from John Lewis here for £19.50

Ella & Rose Light Body Butter

Ella and Rose
Creme Of All Cremes
in Patchouli & Vanilla
Light Body Butter

As a huge fan of bath and body products, I was delighted to receive a lot of products at Christmas, which I am sure if you are like me you love this as they last you well through out the year! One of the goodies I received was this body butter from Ella & Rose. They are a UK based company which are quite difficult to track down online, but I have seen them available in large ASDA stores before.

The packaging as you can see is very girly and looks similar to Soap and Glory packaging with the vintage lady and the colours.
The body butter itself is more of a light body cream than a body butter, as it states it is very light which I really like. It sinks into the skin really quickly, leaves the skin feeling moisturised and the scent is just absolutely gorgeous, and has made me fall in love with it more than anything. The scent is patchouli and vanilla. Patchouli, if you didn't know, is a tropical plant with white and pink flowers which smells lovely and is usually the scent in products we use every day. I really love the smell of patchouli as its fresh and sweet, so this body butter is perfect for me.

If you want to purchase this body butter you can do so.here. It is difficult to track online, but Ella & Rose products are available in some larger supermarkets.

July Favourites

Monthly Favourites
July

Hi everyone! It has been a while since I have done a monthly favourites post, I haven't really been using anything much different in the past few Months, but this Month I have been loving four different products which I thought I would share with you.

The Body Shop Cranberry Joy Body, Room and Linen Spritz
I picked this up in the sale at the beginning of July and have been absolutely adoring it ever since. It is a very strong cranberry scent which is perfect for around the home, I cant help but spritz it all over myself too.

MAC Powder Blush in Well Dressed (Satin)
I was lucky enough to win this gorgeous blush and I am beyond besotted with it! I have never used a MAC blush before but this is lovely and perfect for my very pale skin tone. It is a lovely light pink shade which I think would compliment anyone, it is very light and not overly pigmented which is something I love about it.

Nivea Double Effect Shower & Shave
I am a huge Nivea fan and began using this product this Month. The scents in it are avocado oil and passion fruit which I am you can imagine it smells amazing. It is a really soothing and gentle shower gel which makes shaving your legs so much more easier, leaving them feeling ultra soft. This is so inexpensive I can't praise it enough, it is probably my favourite product I have came across in a long time!

Cherry Carmex Moisturising Lip Balm
This is something I am pretty sure every beauty lover/blogger owns and lives permanently in their handbag or on their desk. It is my favourite this Month as my lips always feel very dry and sore during hot weather conditions, this has been a constant go-to lip balm for me recently as it is very moisturising and seems to stop my lips from cracking.

What were your fave products this Month?
