February Degustabox Review 2016

This Months Degustabox has been really impressive. It is definitely one of my favourite boxes in a while!
If you are unfamilar with Degustabox; in a nutshell, it is a Monthly Subscription Service where you receive 9-14 surprise food and drink items, most of which are new to the market or products you might not normally pick up at the supermarket. I have a discount code giving you a generous £6 off your next order. To use, simply enter the code BLDEG15 at the checkout.
Included in the box was a selection of Hartley's Jelly Pots - a firm favourite in most homes, and best of all, they are low in calories. Another staple in our home is Sarsons Malt Vinegar, so it was great to see it included in the box. This is the best vinegar for fish and chips! I was really pleased to see some Mr Kipling Exceedingly Good Slice Cakes - something we buy regularly and love - it was nice to try out a new flavour of cranberry. Me and my Sister are big fans of the juice drink j20, so to see included the new j20 Spritz drinks was great. We haven't tried these yet but the flavours sound delicious. VitHit Juice Drink was an item my Sister tried and enjoyed, and we all munched on the delicious Divine Chocolate Bars - these are delicious and are Fairtrade and natural. We tried the Nutribix Wholegrain Cereal with Gold and Grains for breakfast and they taste great and really do give you a good energy boost for the Day. I'd definitely recommend. The Ritz Crisps & Thin and The London Crisp Company crisps were enjoyed on a movie night - both were very tasty! The last two items include the Beloved Dates Bars and the James White Carrot Juice Drink; both which we haven't tried yet but it will be a nice change to try something different that we wouldn't normally buy.
What a great selection of products! Have you tried a subscription service like Degustabox before?

Lush Fairy Dust

I have never tried a dusting powder before, so when I bought the Lush Fairy Dust near Christmas time, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. It reminds me a little of talc, and that is the only comparison I have for you!
As you can imagine, the scent is so similar to Lush Snow Fairy shower gel - it smells like candy and all things sweet. To use a dusting powder, you apply the product onto your skin and rub it in, which leaves a long-lasting scent on your skin. There is a little glitter in this dusting powder, so I would probably only use this when I was going out. It does smell amazing and is great used after a bath or shower with Lush Snow Fairy, which helps to prolong the scent.

Have you tried any of the Lush dusting powders?

Nip + Fab Mango Smoothie Dry Skin Fix Body Butter

I have a huge collection of body butters, and it is my mission to start using them up this Year as they are taking up quite a lot of space; and storage is something I am in desperate need of. The first body butter I am using this Year is the Nip + Fab Mango Smoothie Body Butter. I have used over half of this now and I really do like it. It smells so sweet and just like mango. It is quite refreshing and light, and the scent lasts around two hours on the skin. In terms of how it feels on my skin and if it works, I do think it makes my skin feel smoother but I don't think it is a wonder product. As nice as it is (and that is the thing, it is just 'nice') I probably wont be purchasing this in the future. I haven't found it to be a miracle worker for my skin, but it smells nice and does leave my skin feeling that little more smoother.
Have you tried any products from Nip + Fab? Have you got a favourite body butter?

January 2016 Degustabox

Its time for another Degustabox review guys, and today's post will be featuring the January Box. If you are new to Degustabox; in a nutshell is a surprise food and drink subscription box which lands on your doorstep once a Month with a variety of 9-14 random items. I have a discount for you to take off a generous £6 off of your order, which is BLDEG15 simply enter this code at the checkout to redeem the discount. I have included all of their links down below if you want to check them out.

This Months box included a ariety of products. First up; Finn Crisp crispbreads which I have tried before and are great with soups! Coldpress Golden Delicious apple juice drink was really tasty and was extremely fresh, will have to look out for this in the future. The Conscious Chocolate was delcious and as it is raw and hand-made, was a guilt free treat. Jordans Country Crisp fruit and nut is something I have overlooked in the supermarket, but so glad it was included in this box as it tasted great and loved having it for breakfast this Week. Next up, the Amoy New Taste of Asia cooking sauces are something I haven't tried yet but looking forward to including in some home-made curry dishes. My Dad tried the Tsingtao Chinese Beer and said he really enjoyed it and that it was very refreshing, so theres that! The Yushoi Snapea Rice Sticks are a great addition to to box as they are healthier than potato crisps. The Clarks Carob Fruit Syrup is a great item that can be used by adding to drinks or in baking. I have tried the Slim Noodles before and actually really enjoyed them. I am not a big noodles fan but these are pretty good and are low in calories which is great if you are trying to eat a little healthier like me. Latly, the Gathr Crobar in Peanut Crunch is a natural energy bar which I am yet to try, but as it is the DB Discovery of the box this Month, I'm sure it will be great.

Elizabeth Arden Gentle Hydrating Cream

A cult beauty product from Elizabeth Arden is their infamous eight hour cream. I adore the cream and have used it on and off for just over a Year now. I have delved into a few other Elizabeth Arden skin care products since then, and have been overwhelmed with the results since using them.
The Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Gentle Hydrating Cream is aimed for those with dry skin. I have always felt I had a combination skin type, but just recently my skin has becoming extremely dry, and as it is very sensitive anyway, I have found skin care products aimed at dry skin like this to usually work really well for me.

I have been using the Visible Difference Gentle Hydration Cream as my daily moisturiser for a good while now, and have felt it is a really effective cream. My skin is left feeling hydrated, as well as being soft and smooth to touch. My face looks much more radiant, with my usual pores and blemishes reducing dramatically. I really do feel that this product has helped to combat the dryness of my skin.
The product isn't cheap; costing around £34 for a 50ml tub, but it has shown a dramatic difference in the condition of my skin.

Perfect Nude Lip: Lipliners

It seems a lot of people have been loving the nude lip look this Winter, I haven't been brave enough in the past to create a bold nude lip, but recently I have been trying a few new lipsticks and lip liners which I think are worth mentioning to achieve a great nude lip. Today's post is going to be focused on two lip liners from MyPure that I have been using a lot and think they are a real staple for my nude lip look.

Firstly we have the Living Nature Lip Pencil in Woods. This is probably my favourite of the two. The product is very soft and creamy and applies well without drying the lips. The colour is a medium brown nude. I like this lip liner by both using it to line the lips as well as being an all over lip colour. This is a perfect nude lip liner as it suits all of my nude lipsticks, including more pink toned lipsticks. The staying power on this lip liner is great as it lasts around 5 or 6 hours without smudging.

We then have the Inika Lip Liner Pencil in Nude Delight. This nude is more of a light gold and shimmer nude, perfect to line the lips with for a bold nude lip and looks great for a night out. I really like the colour of this nude lip liner as it suits most nude lip product shades I have. This lip liner stays on the lips for around 3 or 4 hours.

Overall I would definitely recommend the Living Nature lip pencil in the shade Woods. I think this an all--rounder good lip pencil that defines the lips and helps to create a nude lip look. I also really like the Inika lip liner in Nude Delight, although I think the Living Nature lip liner does last longer on the lips.
I have been really loving both of these lip liners. What are your favourite lip products to achieve a nude lip look?

Lush Magic Wand Reusable Bubble Bar

I love a good Lush Bubble Bar; who doesn't want a bubbly and scented bath? Lush bought out the Magic Wand at Christmas and I just had to get my hands on one to try. It has lasted me well as I have only just used it up!
The 'wand' makes it easy to spread it across your bath - and it just looks so adorable, doesn't it!
This bubble bar turns your bath water into a pink colour, and the bubbles form in a large quantity.
The scent is quite similar to the scent of Lush Snow Fairy. This smells a little sweeter and a lot lighter than Snow Fairy, so if you like your sweet scents, you will probably like this.
The best thing about it? It is reusable, so lasts a lot longer. I think I had 5 uses out of mine, which is good value for money in my opinion.

Soap and Glory Orangeasm Body Wash

I feel that over the past few Weeks I have mentioned Soap and Glory quite a lot on my blog... I'm sorry for the overload, but as it is quite clear, they are my favourite for bath and body care. I have tried almost everything from Soap and Glory, but something I hadn't bought yet was an item with one of their latest scents; 'Orangeasm'.
I was so intrigued to try something from this line, but I really wasn't sure if I would like the scent at all, so I bought a Body Wash set which included a travel size of their Orangeasm Body Wash to test it out.
As you can imagine, the scent is incredibly zesty, fruity and smells like oranges! It doesn't smell too synthetic and it is quite an uplifting scent. I have to be honest in the fact it isn't my favourite Soap and Glory scent; their Original Pink and Sugar Crush will always be my favourites, but this scent is lovely and perfect for someone that loves fruity fragrances. The body wash itself lathers brilliantly; I can't recommend their body washes enough. Overall I do really like the scent and I will probably be picking more from this scent to try out in the future.

Have you tried any products from this line? What do you think of them?
