Not Another Lush Haul?!

Okay, so... another Lush haul. Whoops. I just can't seem to keep away lately. Everything looks so cute and I want it all. I popped in to my local Lush recently and told myself I would allow myself to buy ONE thing. Just. One. I don't need any more bath products I told myself, I have storage full to the brim of the stuff. Alas, I managed to pop more than one item in my basket, naughty Zoe.

Just look at this little cutie, I couldn't leave him there could I?! The Baa Bar Bubble Bar is perfect for just before bedtime, it is a lavender scented one and creates a really soothing atmosphere, and makes quite a good few bubbles too. I also bought the Mum Bath Bomb in pink, but silly me forgot to photograph it and I used it pretty much as soon as I got home from shopping that day. It is a really nice one and super affordable too. The Mum Bath Bomb created a lovely pink bath and smelt a mixture of lemon and roses.

Just. Look. At. Her. Elsie the Giraffe (You're Havin' a Bath) Reusable Bubble Bar is probably the most adorable product I have ever seen in Lush. This creates a fair amount of bubbles and smells of lemons and limes; a zesty scent lovers dream. The lovely sales assistant that was helping me that day told me she had got ten uses out of hers. I didn't really believe her, I've never managed to get more than four uses out of any Lush bubble bar, even the wands. BUT she was right and I was so, so wrong to dismiss it because I've had ELEVEN - yes, eleven uses out of mine so far and still have a tiny bit left. Well worth the money in my opinion. Note to self: always listen to Lush employees!

My main reason for going into Lush that day was because I wanted to have a sniff of the Yummy Mummy shower gel. I decided it wasn't the scent for me and got distracted by the Plum Rain Shower Gel as it smells beautiful and I kind-of want to shower in this forever. Okay that is a bit of an exaggeration but take my word for it, it smells lovely. The scent is a strong fresh plum, sadly the scent doesn't seem to linger on the skin for very long afterwards, but I still really like it and will more than likely buy it again.
I am the ultimate impulse buyer and I always manage to pick something up when I'm stood by the till: this is one of those purchases. I have tonnes of lip balms and certainly do not need to buy any more for at least a Year, but I am a bit of a magpie when it comes to zesty scented products so this Key Lime Pie Lip Balm came home with me. As lip balms go, I think this is a pretty expensive one. I've only used it a couple of times so far but it seems to keep my lips moisturised and smells of lime so in my eyes it is amazing.

Have you picked anything up from Lush recently? Is there anything you really want to try?

A Little Lush Haul

I'm a little late to writing this post, as I picked these two up before Valentines Day, but as I love chatting about all things Lush, I'm gunna share it anyway.

I never usually buy products at Lush this time of the Year; I tend to buy loads of stuff at Christmas and then come the New Year, I don't venture into the store for a good while. I saw a few pictures online and wanted to try some things out, so I went ahead and picked two items.

The main reason I wanted to make a purchase was because of this little cutie. This is the Ladybird Bubble Bar. This creates loads of bubbles and I got two uses out of this. It creates a gorgeous red/purple tinted bath water and smells a mixture of sweetness and a fresh mint scent, I cant quite put in to words the scent of this, but if you can get your hands on this I would definitely recommend having a sniff. Other than it being an all round good product quality-wise; it is also so adorable to look at, how cute!

Now if you love sugary sweet scents, Creamy Candy Bubble Bar is definitely one to pick up. It is slightly similar to the Snow Fairy scent so if you love that, you'll more than likely love this too. This turns your bath water to a bright pink and produces quite a few bubbles too. I also felt the benefits of this one on the skin as it left my skin feeling very soft. This is one of Lush's extremely reasonably priced products costing just £2.95. I managed to get two uses out of this, but I think if I bought it again I'd probably just use it in one bath for extra bubbles.

Christmas Lush Goodies

It seems a running theme over the festive period on my blog that I feature a lot of Lush products. There is just something about a lovely scented bath over the Autumn and Winter Months.
I'm super grateful to have received two lovely Lush gift sets as Christmas presents. The first one is Rudy. Silly old me did the unthinkable and didn't photograph the gift set when it was all wrapped up nicely (naughty blogger, tut tut) but I love the wrap gifts at Lush and I'm sure I will find a use for the cute Reindeer wrap. Inside Rudy includes two bath bombs: Butterball and Shoot For The Stars. Butterball is a good all-rounder bath bomb, it doesn't give an amazing display in the tub, but is very kind to the skin; leaving it smelling and feeling very soft. Shoot for the stars on the other hand; as you can see, turns your bath water a bright glittery blue and smells of orange and honey.

I also received the Jingle Bells gift set, that includes another two products; Father Christmas Bath Bomb and Peeping Santa Bubble Bar. I was so grateful to receive Peeping Santa as I have been wanting to try this for ages and my local store never seemed to have it in stock. The scent is very similar to fresh strawberries and gives a lot of bubbles, as well as a cute pink/red tint to your bath water.
I've used Father Christmas before and it is one of the best Lush Christmas bath bombs ever in my opinion. This one turns your bath water into festive green and red swirls, and finally displays only a vibrant green tint to the bath. It is a very sweet scent and smells a little similar to Snow Fairy shower gel.

Lush Dashing Santa and Golden Wonder Bath Bombs

As you have probably noticed from my blog as of late; my Lush addiction gets a little out of control when its the festive Season. I am a little gutted to see that one of my two favourite Christmas themed bath bombs isn't back at Lush again this Year, and thought I would give you a little run down on why I love them so much.

Sadly, Dashing Santa hasn't seemed to make an appearance at Lush this Autumn/Winter and I am so gutted. It is a fruity scented bath bomb which reminds me of satsumas, it is one of those Lush products that you wish you had limited amounts of. Its definitely one of my all time favourite Lush products, I hope they bring it back at some point.

Golden Wonder is available to buy at Lush again which I'm super pleased about. It gives a gorgeous display of colour when popped into the bath, leaving you with a deep green/blue coloured bath water. It smells very fresh and zesty so is perfect if you really like lime or citrus scented products like me.

Lush Honey Bee

I like to live dangerously sometimes and post two similar blog posts back to back, I know, such a rebel.
I seem to be a bit of a Lush fan girl at the moment and I can't seem to shake off me wanting to go in the store every time I walk past my local store. I picked up Honey Bee bath bomb on my latest visit and as I haven't heard much about it in the blogging world I thought I'd give my two pennies worth.

I love that this is oh-so lightly scented of honey and not over-powering. It isn't a magical bath bomb by any means; there is no beautiful display in the bath, just yellow tinted bath water. I found using this bath bomb very relaxing and my skin felt really soft afterwards. I think this bath bomb leaves the skin feeling pretty moisturized too which is great. I really like the results on my skin after using this bath bomb, it is definitely one I would recommend for a good pamper but perhaps not the first one I would pick.

This Is Halloween... at Lush

Who doesn't love a good old Lush haul?! My favourite time of Year for Lush shopping is definitely Autumn and Winter... I am your typical stereotypical beauty blogger and will admit that I know Christmas is near when my bathroom is cluttered with bottles of Snow Fairy and various festive bath bombs and bubble bars from Lush. I usually wait until they bring out their Christmas stock before I let myself go crazy in store and buy everything a few essentials, but I spotted a few Halloween/Autumn bath bombs that I did not want to miss out on, so here we are.

I love a good spicy scent so of-course I just had to indulge in both of Lush's pumpkin - scented goodies that they have to offer this Autumn; those being the Pumpkin Bath Bomb and the Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar. The Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar creates lots and lots of bubbles, as well as smelling I love that this doesn't leave an array of glitter in the bath too - bonus. Pumpkin smells deliciously like Halloween and left my skin feeling super soft afterwards.

I also picked up the Autumn Leaf Bath Bomb, which I have since gone back to my local store and stocked up on as I like it so much. It leaves a gorgeous red and yellow display in the bath water, that just screams Autumn. It smells fresh and slightly leaf-crunch scented.

Have you visited Lush this Autumn yet? Let me know what you're lusting after.

My First Jo Malone Purchase

A luxury brand like Jo Malone isn't one I am used to purchasing; it isn't that I don't adore the fragrances because I do, it is just a little out of my price range and I don't often splurge on myself. I recently went to Bicester Designer Outlet Village and visited the Cosmetics Company Store, where they had a range of different high end beauty brands with a slight discount on their products. There was a small selection of Jo Malone products so I decided I would treat myself to my first Jo Malone product; in the form of a bath oil in the scent English Pear and Freesia.
The scent definitely stays in the room for a few hours after using the bath oil. The bath oil has a mature, slightly fruity but more floral scent. After using this in the bath, my skin feels very soft and moisturized; a real treat for the skin.

Have you tried any Jo Malone bath oils?

Products I Always Go Back To

I featured this very product on my blog way back in 2012 (!) and have since repurchased it a few times. It is brilliant value for money, and the shadows last on the eyelids for a good few hours. I love the selection of natural shades, making it the perfect go-to palette for almost any occasion.

Lush Twilight Bath Bomb, £3.75
Twilight has been my favourite Lush bath bomb for a good while. No wait, of all time. This turns the bath water a beautiful shade of purple, and the scent of lavender helps me to relax and settle to sleep after a pampering bath. It is something I always go back and repurchase as I know its such a good product, I cant help myself.

Soap and Glory Clean, Girls Body Wash, £6.50 for 500ml
For me, Soap and Glory are one of those stand-out brands which I am always adding to my shopping basket. Their Clean, Girls Body Wash has been a firm favourite of mine for absolutely ages - I'm talking Years. I love the scent, Mist You Madly, so this body wash is just perfect and also leaves my skin feeling and smelling super gorgeous.

What products are you always going back to?

Lush Candy Mountain Bubble Bar

I am in the process of reviewing a lot of my Christmas Lush purchases on my blog; although I do feel awful for reviewing them when they are not currently available to buy, but I thought it would be good to document what I thought of them and to hear your thoughts.
One of the bubble bars I bought was the Candy Mountain bubble bar; I had never tried this before but heard good things about it. The scent is very light and is described as sweet, but I couldn't really smell the scent at all. In all honesty I was quite disappointed with this bubble bar. To me, it didn't really smell of anything. It did lather up some bubbles, but I was expecting it to be much more than it was. Once added to your bath, your bath water turns to a pink colour, and it creates a few bubbles. My skin did feel soft after I used this in the bath, which is probably the only pro I had from this product. I probably wouldn't buy this again if they bring it back next Christmas as I wasn't bowled over, which is a-shame as I know a lot of people love this bubble bar.

Have you tried this bubble bar?

Lush Magic Wand Reusable Bubble Bar

I love a good Lush Bubble Bar; who doesn't want a bubbly and scented bath? Lush bought out the Magic Wand at Christmas and I just had to get my hands on one to try. It has lasted me well as I have only just used it up!
The 'wand' makes it easy to spread it across your bath - and it just looks so adorable, doesn't it!
This bubble bar turns your bath water into a pink colour, and the bubbles form in a large quantity.
The scent is quite similar to the scent of Lush Snow Fairy. This smells a little sweeter and a lot lighter than Snow Fairy, so if you like your sweet scents, you will probably like this.
The best thing about it? It is reusable, so lasts a lot longer. I think I had 5 uses out of mine, which is good value for money in my opinion.

Soap and Glory Orangeasm Body Wash

I feel that over the past few Weeks I have mentioned Soap and Glory quite a lot on my blog... I'm sorry for the overload, but as it is quite clear, they are my favourite for bath and body care. I have tried almost everything from Soap and Glory, but something I hadn't bought yet was an item with one of their latest scents; 'Orangeasm'.
I was so intrigued to try something from this line, but I really wasn't sure if I would like the scent at all, so I bought a Body Wash set which included a travel size of their Orangeasm Body Wash to test it out.
As you can imagine, the scent is incredibly zesty, fruity and smells like oranges! It doesn't smell too synthetic and it is quite an uplifting scent. I have to be honest in the fact it isn't my favourite Soap and Glory scent; their Original Pink and Sugar Crush will always be my favourites, but this scent is lovely and perfect for someone that loves fruity fragrances. The body wash itself lathers brilliantly; I can't recommend their body washes enough. Overall I do really like the scent and I will probably be picking more from this scent to try out in the future.

Have you tried any products from this line? What do you think of them?

Lush Father Christmas

I received this little festive guy as part of a Christmas gift and remembered how much I love a good Lush bath bomb! Christmas is my favourite time to use Lush bath bombs - it somehow seems more magical and fun?
Father Christmas explodes in the bath while creating a pretty swirling green and red in your bath, which soon turns your bath water completely green. This smells amazing too, it reminds me a little of the Snow Fairy shower gel as it is very sweet. I think I have had this bath bomb in previous years, but I'm sure it used to have a different scent? I'm not sure - but I love Snow Fairy so this is brilliant for me!

Do you use Lush bath bombs? Did you pick up anything in their Boxing Day sale?

What I Bought From The Lush Sale

I spent far too much time trying to make a purchase from the half price sale online at Lush. I finally managed to make an order and I was so pleased when my products arrived. I had never ordered from Lush online before so I did wonder how long it would take, and how the products would arrive. Everything arrived in one piece so I was pleased.

I picked up a few100ml bottles of Snow Fairy; like a lot of people this is one my favourite shower gels - I couldn't resist!
The bath bombs I picked up were Dashing Santa, Golden Wonder and Cinders. My room smells amazing with all of these bath bombs!
I picked up two gift sets - one being the Snow Fairy Castle gift set, which includes all of my favourite Snow Fairy scented items - this has to be my favourite Lush gift set of all time.
I also bought the Firecracker gift set. I picked this one because it included two bath bombs and a bubble bar. I tend to pick gift sets with just bath bombs, shower gels or bubble bars as I know I will get my use out of them as they are my favourite Lush products.

Did you buy anything from Lush in the sale?

Lush Christmas: Snow Fairy and Butterbear

You know it is almost Christmas when Lush release their Christmas range in stores, right? I popped in store the Day the new lines were released because I couldn't wait to buy some of the collection. I restrained myself and picked only a few items on this shopping trip, but I am pretty sure I will be going back for more soon. I picked up two of my favourite Christmas products up this time - what are you favourite Christmas Lush items? Have you tried anything new from the collection?

I think Snow Fairy has become a very iconic Lush product over the past few Years - it is definitely a product that most beauty lovers are aware of when Lush release their Christmas range. I really hope they never discontinue it - I personally like the fact it is a Christmas time only product - it makes it a lot more special when you get your hands on it! The Snow Fairy Shower Gel has an extremely sweet scent which is almost indescribable. It smells like a mix of candy floss and all things sweet - it smells amazing and makes a perfect bath or shower for me.

The Butterbear Bath Bomb is another firm favourite of mine. Butterbear is vanilla scented, and has a softening cocoa butter to ensure the bath is perfect for pampering and good for the skin. Not only that, it is incredibly inexpensive too, costing only £1.95 each. If you like a simple, calm and soothing bath, and don't fancy a lot of glitter or floral pieces in your bath - this may be the one for you. This bath bomb reminds me a lot of the Butter Ball Bath Bomb but it just a lot cheaper in price. Who can resist this cute little bear?!

September Favourites

The Body Shop Satsuma Hand Cleanse Gel
I love a good hand sanitzer and always have one on the go, but I prefer fruit scented ones. I love The Body Shop Satsuma Collection but I hadn't realised they had a hand gel in the scent too! It smells so fresh and is perfect popped in my handbag.

Botanicals Mineral Bath Soak*
I've recently been enjoying having relaxing baths on an evening more than a quick shower on a Morning, and have been using a load of new bath products to pamper myself with. The Botanicals Mineral Bath Soak is a lovely product that I add a scoop into my bath and I find it super relaxing and floral scents are just beautiful. The product is 100% natural and has recently won a Green Parent Natural Beauty Award - well deserved I think.

Sunkissed Rapid Tan*
Sunkissed are my all time favourite tanning brand so it is no surprise to see them appear in a Monthly Favourites post of mine. Their Rapid Tan is a brilliant mousse tan which isn't streaky and looks so natural. I love it!

Dermocare WWF Safari Plasters*
This is something a little different that I wanted to include in my favourites post this Month compared to my usual beauty products. I am that clumsy person who is constantly tripping up and knocking into things - so plasters are something I use a lot. Who wants boring plasters? These Dermocare WWF plasters are awesome and I love having funky safari print plasters - even better that the brand supports WWF.

Lush Intergalactic Bath Bomb

It has been a while since I have used a Lush Bath Bomb, I haven't been into a Lush store for a while and I have missed them, so it was a really lovely surprise to receive one in a goody bag from a blogger meet up I went to recently. I have never tried this bath bomb before so I was eager to try it out.

Using the Intergalactic Bath Bomb gives a beautiful display as it crumbles and drifts off in the water; it looks very 'out of this world' with lots of colours swirling away and you are left with a 'galaxy' of blue and lots of swirls and pops of colour - and popping candy. With a peppermint scent, this one is perfect if you love a long soak in the bath but you are not keen on floral or fruity scents. I think this would be suitable for a lot of people as the scent isn't over-powering. My skin felt super soft after using this, so it is definitely being added to my basket the next time I pop into Lush.

Nspa Fresh Apple and Watermelon Shower and Bath Gel

I have been meaning to write the blog post for quite a while. Nspa released a selection of limited edition products last Summer and this was my absolute favourite. I wasn't sure whether to share this review as this may be more difficult to get your hands on now, but hopefully Nspa will re-release it again some time soon.

Nspa are one of my favourite budget - friendly brands for shower gel and body mists. I love their Fruit Extracts range and anything that smells a little zesty and fresh is always something I am interested to try. The Fresh Apple and Watermelon Shower & Bath Gel ticks all of those boxes for me; it smells amazing and is perfect for a wake up shower. I really like Nspa shower gels as they lather really well and last such a long time; as the bottle is 500ml you get plenty of use. The scent of apple and watermelon is a great fruity twist that is really refreshing and sweet. The product gives a delicate fragrance to your skin after cleansing, which isn't too overpowering.

You may not be able to get your hands on this now, but luckily Nspa have recently launched more in their Fruit Extracts range and I have quite a wishlist of what I want to try! Nspa products are available at ASDA here.

Natural Beauty Buys: Balance Me Revitalising Hand and Body Wash

When I use body products I love anything zesty or fruity scented - so when I spotted this Balance Me product online I just had to try it!

Balance Me are an all natural beauty brand that specialize in creating fantastic products which are really good quality. I have mentioned Balance Me on my blog many, many times before; because I am a big fan of their products and I am always recommending them to friends because I personally think they are one of the best body care and skin care brands out there.
I have tried a fair few of the Balance Me bath and body products, but I was interested in trying their Revitalising Hand & Body Wash. I had never heard of this product before, and as I don't often see many naturally - made hand washes on the highstreet, I thought it would be ideal to have this to keep in the bathroom for the family to use as a lot of us suffer from irritated skin and eczema.

The product smells really nice, it is quite an uplifting and almost fruity scent. Me and my Sister absolutely love this and we can't stop using it! It smells very zesty and its become quite a staple in our bathroom now. The body and hand wash loathes really well, it is a really good quality product and we use it as both a shower gel and a hand wash. After using this, my skin and hands feel soft and very clean. The pump is really handy too so there is no waste.
I really recommend this product if you have eczema prone skin as it doesn't cause any irritation. It reminds me of a really luxurious product you would find in a fancy hotel!
The Balance Me Revitalising Hand & Body Wash is available to buy from MyPure online here.

Natural Beauty Buys: Balance Me Super Toning Body Wash

Balance Me are probably one of the most talked about natural beauty brands I have come across. I have tried quite a lot of their products and I would admit that I am a huge fan of the majority of their body care and skin care range. Its not often that an entire range from one brand entices me, but with Balance Me, I feel their products are brilliant quality and they work really well for my skin.
I have tried both their Rose Otto Body Wash and their Super Moisturising Body Wash in the past which I really like. I fancied a change though, so opted for their Super Toning Body Wash as I don't remember that I have tried this before. The body wash is designed to 'firm, plump and smooth' the skin as well as cleansing and keeping the skin feeling moisturised. I was intrigued by its tone - enhancing claims and wondered how effective it would be.

The product feels like a luxury item to me, and makes me feel a little extra pampered than when I use other body washes. I am a big body wash and shower cream fiend so I know what I like and what I don't like in a body wash (I know, I'm a nerd) and this one definitely ticks the boxes for me.
The scent of the body wash is spa inspired, with a blend of juniper, geranium, lavendar and bergamot. To me, it smells very strong and would be a great product to wake me up on a Morning.
Something I love about natural products is that my skin doesn't become irritated from using them. I mention this a lot on my blog, but I do suffer from sensitive skin and when I find a product which doesn't cause me any irritation, I will harp on about it forever!
This body wash is on the pricier side costing £9 for 200ml, so I would probably only buy this again if I was really treating myself. The product would last me a while as a little goes a long way, so I think the price is reflective of the length of time it will last, and the quality of the product itself. I do think it is a little more special than an average body wash, and if you suffer from sensitive skin it may be worth spending a little more on a product like this which only contains natural ingredients.
Balance Me Super Toning Body Wash is available to buy online from Mypure.

Bomb Cosmetics Fields of Joy Bath Mallow

Bomb Cosmetics is one of my favourite bath bomb brands as it is super affordable and a little bit different to Lush. Today's post features the Fields of Joy Bath Mallow . As you can see, it looks pretty cute, doesn't it?!
Costing just £2.24, Fields of Joy Bath Mallow is the perfect addition to any bath. With scents of Chamomile, Frankincense and florals, it is perfect for a relaxing pamper night.

Bath Mallows are used by dropping into a warm bath and you can watch it fizz softly, releasing the butters into the water which are good for moisturising the skin. I really like bath mallows as they're so easy to use and smell gorgeous. If you like floral scented baths, Fields of Joy is for you.

Have you tried any Bomb Cosmetics products before? What do you think?
