Cath Kidston x Disney Haul Part 2: Minnie and Mickey

You've probably already heard the craze over the latest Cath Kidston x Disney collaboration.
I think Cath Kidston fans went wild over this collab, as the online pre-sale was absolutely insane! I spent far too long waiting and struggling to make an order, in the end just ordering the next Day. Most of the items I had wanted to buy had obviously sold out by that time, which is a shame. I'm glad I managed to pick up a few items from the collection anyway.

I picked up this cute pencil case in the print Linen Sprig. I don't use pencil cases these days, so I will probably use this as a small make-up bag. It is super cute. I already have a few of the Cath Kidston key fobs, so I thought it would be nice to add a Disney key chain to my keys. I love the cute ditsy print on Mickeys feet.

The last item on this order was the card holder in the print Minnie Mews Ditsy. I've been after a card holder for a while now for my store points cards, and never really got around to hunting a nice one down, so when I saw this Disney one I was super pleased it was still available to order.

Strangely enough, a few Weeks after pretty much everything had sold out, I received an email from Cath Kidston stating that they had managed to get back some items in stock. It didn't explain how or why, but a lot of the bags and purses had been added back to the site, so I went along and ordered the bag I wanted all along, which was the .Minnie Linen Sprig Small Boxy Bag.

I just adore the prints in this Disney Collection, I cant wait to hear which Disney characters will be part of the next collaboration with Cath Kidston!
You can check out what I bought from the first Disney and Cath Kidston collab in my blog post here.

Vans X Toy Story

Something you may or may not know about me is I live for the Weekends... when I can sit blissfully watching a good old Disney film in my PJ's! I'm a big fan of both Disney Classics and Disney Pixar movies (honestly, I have no preference, I know, wild) and with Toy Story being possibly my favourite film ever?!... when I found out they were collaborating with Vans I did a little dance.
I picked this pair because I love a bit of cow print and I thought they were adorable. I actually felt so excited wearing these for the first time. I live in Vans, so them being Toy Story themed, and having a little cow print on them made me feel like they were made for me!
I love some of the others in the collection too, particularly the little bo beep pair, they are so cute!
Are you a Disney fan? Would you rock these?

This Is Halloween... at Lush

Who doesn't love a good old Lush haul?! My favourite time of Year for Lush shopping is definitely Autumn and Winter... I am your typical stereotypical beauty blogger and will admit that I know Christmas is near when my bathroom is cluttered with bottles of Snow Fairy and various festive bath bombs and bubble bars from Lush. I usually wait until they bring out their Christmas stock before I let myself go crazy in store and buy everything a few essentials, but I spotted a few Halloween/Autumn bath bombs that I did not want to miss out on, so here we are.

I love a good spicy scent so of-course I just had to indulge in both of Lush's pumpkin - scented goodies that they have to offer this Autumn; those being the Pumpkin Bath Bomb and the Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar. The Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar creates lots and lots of bubbles, as well as smelling I love that this doesn't leave an array of glitter in the bath too - bonus. Pumpkin smells deliciously like Halloween and left my skin feeling super soft afterwards.

I also picked up the Autumn Leaf Bath Bomb, which I have since gone back to my local store and stocked up on as I like it so much. It leaves a gorgeous red and yellow display in the bath water, that just screams Autumn. It smells fresh and slightly leaf-crunch scented.

Have you visited Lush this Autumn yet? Let me know what you're lusting after.

Recent Beauty Haulin'

It has been a while since I have bought a load of new make-up, skin care or general bath and body products, as I have recently been going through a phase of clothes shopping rather than anything else, whoops! I have lost a little bit of weight since New Year, so I have been enjoying buying new clothes - but fear not, I have still managed to squeeze in a little bit of beauty shopping here and there! Who doesn't love a haul?

I've wanted to try out a new foundation for a few Weeks, so with the aid of another beauty blogger (oh hey Clare) I picked out the Loreal True Match Foundation. I have only tried it once but it seems to be pretty good so far.
I also picked up a Collection lipstick which I definitely didn't need, but I just love a nude lip at the minute, so I couldn't resist!

I'm not hugely into skin care but I had ran out of my micellar water, so I repurchased the Garnier Make-up Remover and Soap and Glory Facial Wash. I have repurchased the Garnier Make-up Remover multiple times and it such a good product.

I also picked up a few other essentials including the Loreal Elvive Dry Shampoo, (which is incredible, definitely recommend) Dove Nourishing Oil Carer Conditioner, Boots Anti - Perspirant, N Spa Fragrance Body Mist in Clementine, Palmolive Strawberry Touch Body Butter Shower Cream, and a Superdrug Semi- Permanent Hair Dye.

What I Bought From The Lush Sale

I spent far too much time trying to make a purchase from the half price sale online at Lush. I finally managed to make an order and I was so pleased when my products arrived. I had never ordered from Lush online before so I did wonder how long it would take, and how the products would arrive. Everything arrived in one piece so I was pleased.

I picked up a few100ml bottles of Snow Fairy; like a lot of people this is one my favourite shower gels - I couldn't resist!
The bath bombs I picked up were Dashing Santa, Golden Wonder and Cinders. My room smells amazing with all of these bath bombs!
I picked up two gift sets - one being the Snow Fairy Castle gift set, which includes all of my favourite Snow Fairy scented items - this has to be my favourite Lush gift set of all time.
I also bought the Firecracker gift set. I picked this one because it included two bath bombs and a bubble bar. I tend to pick gift sets with just bath bombs, shower gels or bubble bars as I know I will get my use out of them as they are my favourite Lush products.

Boxing Day Sales Haul

I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas! Today I wanted to share the few items I picked up in the Boxing Day sales. We don't have plans for Boxing Day in our family so me and my Sister decided we would wake up early and pop to the shops to see if we could pick up some bargains.

I am a huge Soap and Glory fan (if you hadn't already noticed!) so my first stop was Boots with the main aim to pick up a few of the half price gift sets. I managed to get three out of the four sets that I wanted, which were the Once Upon A Lime gift set, the Zest A Girl Can Get gift set, and finally the Soaprise cracker gift set. I know this is a lot of Soap and Glory, but they are my favourite brand and I have saved so much buying them at half price!

From Superdrug I picked up this Baylis & Harding set for only 99p - what a bargain! I love a pamper so I tend to stock up on bath and body products during the Christmas sales. I also purchased the Cheryl Cole perfume set online for just £10, so impressed with the price.

Finally, I bought a few DVDs and a CD I have been wanting for a while, they weren't in sale but I thought I would include them anyway. I love This Is England!

I also made an order online with Lush... I will share what I bought in their sale in another post soon!
What did you manage to buy in the sales this Year?

A 'Boring But Essential' Beauty Haul

Shower gel, deodorant, toner... all things I always need but find they are pretty basic, boring items to shop for sometimes. I seem to finish products all at the same time, so I tend to grab my essentials altogether when I am shopping at Boots or Superdrug. Even though these items might not be too interesting, I do buy most of them regularly so I thought it could be interesting for you to have a peak at some of my every day essential repurchases and a few new buys.

Boots Essentials Nail Polish Remover
This is just the cheapest nail polish remover I have tried that actually works well. It removes nail polish very easily, and even removes glitter polishes too.

Dove Deeply Nourishing Body Wash
I use a variety of body washes and tend to pick up whatever is on offer. I really love Dove and this body wash is probably one of their best products ever.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
I haven't tried this micellar water before so as it was just £1, I popped it in my basket to give it a go. I thought I would pick up the smaller 125ml bottle as it is ideal to try out for the first time.

Boots Therapy Moisturise Shower Gel
Another body wash, I know I know. I really like this one, it has jojoba oils as the main scent which smells great and it is so relaxing for an evening bath.

Boots Compressed 48hr Citrus Anti-Perspirant
I have tried Boots deodorants before and they have always done the job, so I decided to buy this citrus scented spray this time. It smells nice, so that's a good sign!

Collective Beauty and Hair Care Haul

It seems like I haven't showed you many of my beauty buys recently. I haven't been buying a lot as I have a huge backlog of products to get through, but I have picked up some things here and there, and I have missed writing haul posts so here is a little collective haul of all the beauty bits and pieces I have purchased in the past few Months.

Hair Care

John Frieda Queen of Curls Gift Set: I picked up this really great hair set from John Freida in the sales at my local Tesco. It includes a mini serum, shampoo, conditioner and a sachet of their intensive masque which I love.
Argan Oil Heat Defence Leave in Spray: I have had this quite a few Months now and I do really like it. I used to use the Tressemme Heat Protection Spray but decided to give this a try as it was reasonably priced.
Alberto Balsam Coconut and Lychee Conditioner:  I'm not quite sure why I'm including this in this post, but thought this was worth a quick mention as it is super affordable (usually costs around £1) and actually leaves my hair feeling really soft. I picked it up in Superdrug on offer for 49p in the reduced section, so definitely have a look in the clearance section of your local store as there were some other good deals too.
Derma V10 Long Lasting Hair Colour in 3 Darkest Brown: I'm not fussy when it comes to hair dyes. Gone are the days when I'd spend £8+ on an at home hair dye kit, as I tend to just pick up the cheap-but-just-as-good dye kits from Body Care or the pound shop just to cover my roots. I have used them before and they've always turned out fine on my hair.

Beauty

Nivea Primer: I actually bought two of these as it was on a great offer at the time in Superdrug for buy one get one free, meaning I spent under £5 for two tubs of my favourite primer, which I thought was a great deal. I always seem to go back to this primer as it works so well for me.
Crabtree & Evelyn Mini Duo: Usually on Boxing Day, me and my Sister go sales shopping and the first place we hit is Boots for their half price gift sets. This Year we just didn't really want to go because it gets so busy, plus neither of us really needed any more bath sets! Last week I popped into Boots and realized the 70% off sale had started - which seems a little early to me than usual - and I spotted this mini gift set standing alone. Even though I know I don't need it, I couldn't leave it there and for some reason I decided it needed to come home with me! The set includes ...
Cheryl Cole Storm Flower Gift Set: I absolutely adore the scent of this perfume so I decided I would treat myself and ordered it online a few weeks ago. It reminds me a lot of Paris Hilton's first fragrance and it smells super sweet and a little fruity.
Vaseline Spray & Go Body Moisturiser: This was a bit of a random buy at the till in Boots, I am still unsure what I think of it. It smells of cocoa butter and is a quick spray moisturising which dries after a minute or two. I'm not sure if it leaves my skin moisturised but it does make my skin feel soft.
Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover Camouflage Makeup:  My Sister actually kindly bought this for me just after Christmas which was super lovely of her, but I thought I'd include it here too. I am really impressed with the coverage of this product as it really helps to cover scars and blemishes on my face.

Jan, Feb and March Collective Haul

Hi everyone! I haven't written a haul post in a good while now, mainly because I don't really go shopping a lot these days. I went shopping with Clare last weekend though, and a few alone shopping trips in the past few weeks, so thought I would share some things with you.
Warning - picture heavy!

Skater style dress from New Look

Superdrug Eyebrow Shapers
Mac Lipstick in M.A.C Red

MUA Undressed Me Too Palette

Sam Fat Hair Hair Spray

Two Packs of Jemma Kidd Make Up

Tresemme Special Value Pack

Philosophy Christmas Cookie

Soap and Glory Eye Brightening Moisture Serum

Soap and Glory Cosmetics - Lipstick, Eye liner and Lip balm

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

Soap and Glory Body Firming Serum

No 7 wipes and Superdrug Cotton Wool Oval Pads

Dorothy Perkins Sweater Jumper

Dorothy Perkins Bracelet Trio (sale)

I have done a little bit of shopping the past few weeks which is kind of rare for me these days as I haven't been shopping for quite a while now. As you can see I picked up quite a few beauty bits! Also I got a few essentials, two clothing items and some bracelets too.  It isn't like me to impulse buy but I had quite a few soap and glory vouchers which is why I bought quite a few of their products, and generally I am quite thrifty and look for the best deals so pretty much everything I bought was purse - friendly :)

Looking back at this post makes me realise how much I have actually bought in the past three months, its crazy how much you buy in just 12 weeks! I am considering doing a 50 day spending ban like I did last year (you can read all my posts about it here) because I don't think I need to be buying this many beauty products when I have loads to use up anyway!

Bargains of the Week: Tresemme and Philosophy

Tresemme Moisture Rich Luxurious Moisture Shampoo 500 ml and Instant Refresh Waterless Foam Shampoo 150 ml Pack, around £1.87, B & M 's

Philosophy Christmas Cookie Shampoo, Shower Gel & Bubble Bath 480 ml , £3.50 at Boots

This weekend I went shopping on both Saturday and Sunday, I haven't been shopping for a good while so expect a collective haul soon.  I had read Sara's blog post about finding some of the Christmas Philosophy products in her local Boots reduced, so I went on a mission to find some myself, only in my local stores they had none. I went to Birmingham with Clare on Saturday where we had a hardcore shopping session. In Boots I found a shelf full of a fair few of the Philosophy Christmas Shower Gel, Bubble Bath and Shampoo bottles for a bargain of £3.50. There were other scents like eggnog and a berry one, I opted for this one as its super sweet and that is my favourite kind of scent. I cant believe they still had Christmas stock left over, and considering this cost £14 prior to Christmas, it was such a huge saving! I know Christmas has been and gone, hey we are in March, but it wont stop me using this as I don't think it is too much of a festive scent.

On Sunday I went shopping (again, I know, awful) just to get a few essentials and I saw this is B & M. I thought it was a bargain as it was under £2, and in the value pack there was a 500 ml bottle of shampoo which is a bargain in itself as this retails at £3.59 (although it is currently on sale for £2.39 in Boots). The other product was the Instant Refresh Waterless Foam Shampoo 150 ml, which intrigued me as I am a huge fan of Dry Shampoo, I wanted to try this spin on things. It was quite difficult to track down elsewhere so I assume it is an older product, but I am not sure. I did find it online on Lloyds Pharmacy retailed at £4.38 so I got a really good deal having both for under £2 saving around £6.10.

Post Christmas Sales Haul

Hey lovely, hope you are doing alright!
As most of you know I am a self - confessed sales obsessive. If there is a sale I HAVE to be there. I need every deal going haha. I;ve got to be honest with you though, the sales this year were so disappointing. I was all geared up ready to go Boxing Day sales shopping, excited to get some bargains (does it make me sad that I get excited about this? Thought so.) but everywhere I went there was either nothing I liked, the things I wanted were out of stock and already gone and I didn't really think anything decent were reduced much this year.

I did pick up a very small handful of things though, a very random bunch of bits and although I like everything I have bought I did expect to be coming home Boxing Day and the following few days with heaps and heaps of bags of new bits. But alas, I shall show you now the little bits I did pick up:

Taylor Swift Wonderstruck Gift Set
Was £20, now £13.30, Boots
I was after this for ages but never got around to getting it. It was originally £20 for this set which is a bargain in its self as it is £20 with the 30ml perfume alone. I got this in the sale at Boots for a really random price, I think it was £13.30 or something like that. It smells just what you would imagine!
 - Since buying this I went back today and picked another up - as it is currently half price in Boots making it £10 for the whole set! I knwo it is greedy I just couldn't say no at such a good deal! I think they are unavailable online but if you are after it have a look in your local Boots :)

Taylor Swift - Red CD
Was £10 now £7, HMV
A theme going on around here! Not a lot of people know but I adore country music and I really like Taylor Swift as I think she puts a great modern spin on the kind of music I like. This was reduced to £7 in HMV so I though 'why not?'.

Black and gold beret
Was £5 now £2.50, Tesco
This is one of those really random things I seem to pick up all the time. I think beret's or hats very simlar to berets are the only hats that suit me so I sortof live in them when I am havng a bad hair day or the weathers bad. I just like the way they sit on your head really. I saw this one half price and thought it was really cute so brought it.

Sheer Sanctaury Indulgence
Was £40, now £10, Boots
I was eyeing this up pre-Christmas as I adore Sanctuary products but couldn't justify spending £40 on myself. I knew I was already receiving the big Soap and Glory Gift Set as a gift for Christmas, so didn't ask for this one and decided to wait until after Christmas and pick it up in the sales. I am glad I did! I decided not to buy it at half price on Boxing Day as I didn't want to carry it home (haha) but waited until a day I had a lift home. It was reduced by 75% and was an absolute steal at £10! I includes 8 products, the box and also a shower cap.  All of the products bar 2 are full sized so a massive saving!

Collection 2000 Hot Looks Fast Dry Nail Varnish in 35 Dynasty
£1, Poundland
I know this isn't a sale item but thought I would include it anyway as it was an absolute steal and was really suprised to see it in Poundland. I know Collection 2000 rebranded and dropped the '2000' but that doesn't bother me! They had quite a few different colours but thought this was pretty and just picked one.

Not much really was it!
What did you pick up from the sales??
Let me know if you have written a post about your sale buys, I would love to see!

Amazing Bargains in Superdrug: Haul!

GOSH and Bloom Bargains at Superdrug!

After having a pretty awful day a few days ago, I was flicking through my twitter feed on my phone and saw that my sisters best friend had tweeted about some amazing deals in Superdrug she just had. I adore this girl too much, she gets all the best deals I don't know how she does it! I headed up to Superdrug to have a wonder and see if I could get in on any of these said - to - be - had bargains.

In my local Superdrug I noticed that all of the Bloom products had been dramatically reduced, where nothing was more than £2.99! I was actually secretly annoyed because a few months ago I'd made my first purchase on a Bloom foundation (I blogged about it here.) for £16 and now it was £2.99! (thankfully they didn't have my shade left so I didn't feel too defeated). I am assuming they are no longer stocking it or have changed the packaging. There were also a lot of bargain bins which included more Bloom products, GOSH and a few random other brands.

Bloom Powder Blush in Hibiscus - £1.99

This product was out of a bargain bin and wasn't in its packaging. I checked it and it looked unused and in good condition so I picked it up. I wore it to work yesterday and it is highly pigmented, beautiful pink colour and stayed on all day. It even has a mirror.

Bloom Eye Paints in Chocolate - 99p

I also used this as a base yesterday on my eyelids, its a gorgeous natural brown, I found it really easy to apply and it didn't crease all day. I am pretty sure the original price is around the £8 mark! You can see a little swatch above of the colour.

Bloom Eye Shadow in Whisper - £1.99

I am yet to try this, but I have swatched it and seems good quality. Its a very pale pink/creamy colour which I am sure would be great as a base or highlight underneath the brow.

GOSH Eye Shadow Quaret in 002 Modest Liberty - £1.99

I cant find an online price for this, but the GOSH quattro eye shadows are £8.49, so I assume this product used to be around that mark. The colours are very beutral and could be used for an 'everyday look'. Some shadows are very pigmented, some are not. Its probably the product I will wear the least out of what I brought, but I am sure my sister will take it off my hands if I no longer want it. A lovely thing about this product is there is a tiny on/off switch near the bottom of the mirror, and as you can see from the picture above, it turns two little lights on around the mirror. That alone is adorable.

GOSH Eye Shadow Palette in 001 Nude Passion - £1.99

I am SO happy I got this! I have wanted it for ages, it was a limited edition palette way back in Spring 2011 and none of the stores near to me stocked it at the time! It has gorgeous colours, very 'nude' and bare eye shadows. I don't really care that it is old stock, I have searched and searched and searched online for this product for months on eBay and just so happened to find it in perfect condition in the bargain basket.

All  products cost £1.99 each, apart from the Bloom Eye Paint which was just 99p! All of these goodies came to a tiny total of £8.95!!

What do you think of these bargains?
