Boxing Day Sales Haul

I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas! Today I wanted to share the few items I picked up in the Boxing Day sales. We don't have plans for Boxing Day in our family so me and my Sister decided we would wake up early and pop to the shops to see if we could pick up some bargains.

I am a huge Soap and Glory fan (if you hadn't already noticed!) so my first stop was Boots with the main aim to pick up a few of the half price gift sets. I managed to get three out of the four sets that I wanted, which were the Once Upon A Lime gift set, the Zest A Girl Can Get gift set, and finally the Soaprise cracker gift set. I know this is a lot of Soap and Glory, but they are my favourite brand and I have saved so much buying them at half price!

From Superdrug I picked up this Baylis & Harding set for only 99p - what a bargain! I love a pamper so I tend to stock up on bath and body products during the Christmas sales. I also purchased the Cheryl Cole perfume set online for just £10, so impressed with the price.

Finally, I bought a few DVDs and a CD I have been wanting for a while, they weren't in sale but I thought I would include them anyway. I love This Is England!

The Best Hair Serums

John Frieda Frizz Ease Original Effects Serum  link | Superdrug Style Expertise Anti Frizz Serum link

Just lately I have been trying to make a little more effort with my hair. It usually just hangs (for choice of a better word) limp and lifeless, no matter what products I use in the hope of voluminious locks and shiny hair. Hair serum has been a really great way of helping to manage my hair. 

The John Frieda Frizz Ease Original 6 Effects Serum (what a mouthful!) is great at combating frizz and controlling crazy hair. Only a little is needed as it goes a long way. I apply this mostly to the ends of my hair and work it through the rest; I usually avoid my roots and work the product into the length of my hair and this seems to work well for my hair. My hair feels and looks very smooth and silky after using this.

The Superdrug Style Expertise Anti Frizz Serum is another favourite hair serum. It is really affordable and works just as well as the more higher end hair serums. The serum helps to control the frizziness of my hair while enhancing my hairs natural shine.

May Empties

It feels like I haven't written an Empties post in such a long time. They were one of my favourite posts to write when I first began blogging and I am not sure why I stopped writing them! Today I am here with quite a hefty post full of empty products, where I will be giving you the low - down on each and every product I finished this Month. 

Cussons Imperial Leather Soft Touch Moisturising Shower Cream with Jojoba Milk & Vitamin E

This has quickly become my favourite shower cream. I have been reaching for it every day, it smells beautiful and lathers a lot by using the tiniest amount of product. This 300 ml bottle cost me about 80p (!) from Tesco. I am not sure why the price is so low, but have spotted the bigger bottles in the pound shop too. I hope it isn't being discontinued! I will definitely be stocking up as it smells gorgeous and makes me skin feel super soft. 

Clearasil Ultra Overnight Wash

This face wash has been in our bathroom for what seems like an eternity, and me and my sister have finally finished it off. It is a nice facial wash, which is easy to apply to wash your face before bed. I do like this, but haven't seen or felt any amazing results from it, so probably wouldn't rush to the shops to get another one. 

FCUK Body Spray

This is a mini spray of FCUK's original scent. It smells quite oriental and floral. The scent doesn't last very long, but is ideal to pop in your handbag if you are on the go and need a quick spritz. 

Superdrug Coconut & Shea Butter Bath Milk

I picked this up not long ago and it hasn't lasted very long! It is a lovely bath milk which smells divine. I love anything coconut scented! This bath milk makes your bath smell beautiful, I would definitely pick this up again next time I am in Superdrug. 

Sanctuary Spa Covent Garden Body Lotion

In all honestly, we have about 6 bottles of Sanctuary Body Lotion in our house (no lie!) so it is a relief when we finish them off! I love the scent and it is very moistursing, but lasts forever! 

Scandalous Gorgeously Rich Moisturising Shampoo

Another product that has been in our bathroom for a while waiting to be used up, this shampoo smells gorgeous and I really do think it has helped make my hair feel softer and look a little more silkier, too.

Lovea Nourishing Mask

A truly amazing hair mask - I would definitely recommend. My hair feels in much better condition after I use this - I am gutted I have used it all up, but will definitely be purchasing another! I reviewed this in full here* last Month if you fancy a more in depth post.

Soap and Glory Butter Yourself Moisturise Lotion

Another moisturiser used up this Month, is Soap and Glory's 'Butter Yourself'. I have to be honest in saying I didn't enjoy using this product at all, which is strange coming from a huge Soap and Glory fan like me. I just didn't like the scent all too much of this product, and didn't really feel it made my skin feel softer. Also, it seemed to take a long time to sink into the skin.

Elemis Spa Home Jasmine and Rose Milk Bath*

I absolutely love Elemis Bath products, and I adore this scent. This was a little 60ml bottle, but lasted a fair few baths. I was kindly given this at an event recently, and am thinking of purchasing it in full size I love it that much! My skin felt fantastic after using this in my bath. 

Matrix Biolage Color Last Cera Repair

I adore this product for treating my dull and lifeless coloured hair  It brings out the vibrance of my colour, it truly is a great product and I would recommend if you have permanently dyed hair like me.

Macadamia Deep Hair Masque

I am a big fan of Macadamia products, and this hair masque is one of my favourites. I am unsure where I picked this 30ml sachet from now, but I love using them. It ensures my hair feels silky soft after use, something my hair desperately needs as it is is terrible condition at the moment.

Amazing Bargains in Superdrug: Haul!

GOSH and Bloom Bargains at Superdrug!

After having a pretty awful day a few days ago, I was flicking through my twitter feed on my phone and saw that my sisters best friend had tweeted about some amazing deals in Superdrug she just had. I adore this girl too much, she gets all the best deals I don't know how she does it! I headed up to Superdrug to have a wonder and see if I could get in on any of these said - to - be - had bargains.

In my local Superdrug I noticed that all of the Bloom products had been dramatically reduced, where nothing was more than £2.99! I was actually secretly annoyed because a few months ago I'd made my first purchase on a Bloom foundation (I blogged about it here.) for £16 and now it was £2.99! (thankfully they didn't have my shade left so I didn't feel too defeated). I am assuming they are no longer stocking it or have changed the packaging. There were also a lot of bargain bins which included more Bloom products, GOSH and a few random other brands.

Bloom Powder Blush in Hibiscus - £1.99

This product was out of a bargain bin and wasn't in its packaging. I checked it and it looked unused and in good condition so I picked it up. I wore it to work yesterday and it is highly pigmented, beautiful pink colour and stayed on all day. It even has a mirror.

Bloom Eye Paints in Chocolate - 99p

I also used this as a base yesterday on my eyelids, its a gorgeous natural brown, I found it really easy to apply and it didn't crease all day. I am pretty sure the original price is around the £8 mark! You can see a little swatch above of the colour.

Bloom Eye Shadow in Whisper - £1.99

I am yet to try this, but I have swatched it and seems good quality. Its a very pale pink/creamy colour which I am sure would be great as a base or highlight underneath the brow.

GOSH Eye Shadow Quaret in 002 Modest Liberty - £1.99

I cant find an online price for this, but the GOSH quattro eye shadows are £8.49, so I assume this product used to be around that mark. The colours are very beutral and could be used for an 'everyday look'. Some shadows are very pigmented, some are not. Its probably the product I will wear the least out of what I brought, but I am sure my sister will take it off my hands if I no longer want it. A lovely thing about this product is there is a tiny on/off switch near the bottom of the mirror, and as you can see from the picture above, it turns two little lights on around the mirror. That alone is adorable.

GOSH Eye Shadow Palette in 001 Nude Passion - £1.99

I am SO happy I got this! I have wanted it for ages, it was a limited edition palette way back in Spring 2011 and none of the stores near to me stocked it at the time! It has gorgeous colours, very 'nude' and bare eye shadows. I don't really care that it is old stock, I have searched and searched and searched online for this product for months on eBay and just so happened to find it in perfect condition in the bargain basket.

All  products cost £1.99 each, apart from the Bloom Eye Paint which was just 99p! All of these goodies came to a tiny total of £8.95!!

Superdrug Eyebrow Shapers

I recently discovered these Eyebrow Shapers from Superdrug. They are basically little wax strips (similar to the type of wax strips you can get for your legs) but they are arched slightly and are a lot smaller, about the right size to shape your eyebrows. 

I've never waxed my eyebrows myself before, but I really do like using these! Its so much easier than spending a few hours plucking your eyebrows aimlessly in hope it makes a difference, or spending £ every 4-6 weeks to get them waxed by my beautician. Its a no brainer really, why did I not buy these sooner?!

They cost around £1.40 (ish) a pack, and you get 4 sleeves of assorted shapes (each sleeve holds 14 strips), which is a bargain really! They come with a little instruction booklet too, which off course you should definitely give a read before doing this.

Now, I am not saying that they make your eyebrows perfect in one go, you do have to work with them a little bit, but such a saving if you get them waxed or even threaded regularly like me.

Here are the before and after pictures. You probably can;t tell much difference, but there is a big difference in real life, honest!

Haul Featuring Primark, Superdrug and Lush

Okay, so the spending ban went completely out of the window this afternoon. I met up with two of my best friends for lunch, and one thing lead to another and...yes, we went shopping. 

I didn't spend OTT, but picked up some lovely bits from Primark (Its my birthday soon so thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it), and aso just could not resist the 3 for 2 offer on mix and match cosmetics, and a few other deals.

Haul: Superdrug and Boots

Hey!

Hasn't it been awful weather in the UK today? I really hope it doesn't snow tomorrow like it is predicted to!

I have a small haul for you today from both Boots and Superdrug.

Starting with Superdrug, I only picked up four things, but as two of them are body sprays I wont show you those as I am sure you're not really interested, haha. I really wanted to try a baked eyeshadow as I have never tried them before, and heard so many good reviews about them. I brought the Accessorize (If you know me you will know I am obsessed with all things Accessorize) Baked Duo Eye Shadow in 13- Thaila, which cost £4.50. Its beautiful brown and creams and I have only swatchded them but they still look gorgeous and I cant wait to try them out. Also, in Superdrug at the minute, if you buy ANY (yes, any) Accessorize make - up product, at any price, you get a free Diamond Sparkle Lip Gloss. They retail at around £3/4 so I think that is a really good saving. I think its a new range they have brought out, I am not too sure. I picked Lip Gloss Shade 1 - MAGICAL. Its a very pink, girly shade but it looks really nice, and usually i don't tend to go for lip glosses as I find most of them quite sticky; this one isn't.

I then went to Boots to use my no 7 £5 off voucher as it runs out in a few days time. I picked out a blusher which is 22 - Candy Pink Natural Blush Cheek Colour. It retails at £9.50 (I think) but I got it for £4.50 with the voucher.

I then picked up this Soap and Glory Foundation and Primer, it is £11 which is quite reasonably priced for a S&G product and for a foundation as well. The shade I pruchased was The Fairest Of Them All, which suits my very pale skin. I've heard so many good reviews about this but I was unsure whether it would live up to it, and let me just say... it is so good! For £11 it is a bargain for how good it is, it looks like a high market product as it leaves your skin looking flawless. It is an actual God Send and I am so pleased with it.



I then just picked up the S&G Hand Maid Cleansing Gel which is £2.50, as I had ran out. Its one of the nicest hand sanitzers as it doesn't have that normal smell which they all seem to have if you understand what I mean, it smells of S&G. :-)

I picked up this Liquid Concealer by Miss Sporty as it was free with another Miss Sporty product. I am yet to try it yet, but I'll be sure to review it once I have. I tihnk it retails at about £3, not too sure.

I also brought this S&G Smoulder Kohl Water Proof Eye Liner for £5, and as all of the S&G products I have come across, it is amazing and so easy to use.

 I brought this Mascara by Miss Sporty which is called Fabolous Lash Xtra Black (001) The brush itself is quite small in my opinion but applies lovely and i'm quite impressed with it as it is only a cheap mascara which was around £3-4. Now, at the moment in Boots if you spend over £3 on any Miss Sporty Make Up Items you get the Liquid Concealer (above) free, which is a really good deal as I only spend around £3/4 and got two products, and as Miss Sporty are really cheap anyone its brilliant.
