Recent Empties

It has been a while since I shared on my blog some of the products I have used up. I thought it was about time I did. What have you finished off recently?

Grace Cole Moments Body Lotion
This body lotion seemed to take a long time for me to finish. It was an average product, it was quite nice and light but didn't moisturize as well as I would have liked.

Argania Desert Defence Shampoo*
I really liked this shampoo, this is my second bottle. It really helps to cleanse my hair and removes all of the product out of my hair really well, and it smells great too.

Sanctuary Spa Gentle Polish Body Scrub
This is my all - time favourite body scrub, I always repurchase. The beads really work into the skin - it isn't too gritty but you do feel like you are getting a good scrub out of the product, if that makes sense!

Balance Me Hand and Body Wash*
I have been using this mainly as a hand wash because it smells amazing, but it also doubles up as a really great body wash. It lasted us a while.

Soap and Glory The Righteous Butter
This is one of those cult pamper products, am I right? I think everyone and their mum has tried this. I really do like it as it is so thick and very moisturising. I do think it takes a long time to finish a tub off though!

Radox Shower Gel in Coconut Kiss
I usually love Radox products but I just didn't like the scent of this, the coconut smelt way too synthetic for me. It lathered a lot and cleansed well, I just didn't like the scent.

Travel Beauty Essentials

The worst part of travelling for me is packing. Have I packed enough? Do I really need to take this? Oh wait - I've forgotten this! All of which are questions that enter my brain hours before I'm due to leave. I have prepared my travel bag for my next outing, full of the essentials I need and a few I often forget!
  • A body cream or lotion is always something I seem to need when I haven't packed it in my luggage. Sanctuary Body Lotion is one of my favourites and a body lotion I would recommend.
  • As well as a perfume, I tend to pack a body spray with me just incase I need to add a little fragrance. Fearne Cottons Body Spritz is a really nice and light fragrance ideal for travelling.
  • Of-course a body wash is essential for travelling, and the Sanctuary Body Wash is one my favourites. As you can see I am a big fan of the brand, I think their travel sized products are ideal for Holidays.
  • I always carry hand cream with me, so this Cath Kidston Hand Cream is essential for me as my hands are so dry.
  • Travel size shampoo and conditioners are so easy to pop into your suitcase so you don't have to bring back a full size product back home with you! I have opted for John Frieda Frizz Ease Cream Curls Shampoo and Conditioner.
  • Antiperspirant to keep you feeling fresh and smelling good; Boots 24hr Protection Roll On is a reasonably priced product which does the job.
  • I feel a body scrub is good to pack with you if you are planning on visiting beaches so you are  able to exfoliate the skin. Sanctuary Body Scrub is the best body scrub I have come across yet and smells gorgeous!
  • Other essentials including sun cream, aftersun lotion, cleanser, toner, wet wipes, cotton pads, hair bands, hair clips and a body polisher are my definite must haves to take travelling with me.
What are your travel beauty essentials? Are there any that I have missed?

Recent Empties

I think this Months empties post should be renamed the gift set empties post as I have used up a load of beauty products I received in Christmas gift sets etc.

Soap and Glory The Righteous Butter x3 (!): That's right, I have finished off three tubs of Soap and Glory's infamous body butter this Month. It has taken me absolutely ages to finish using the huge tub, and the little tubs have been sat in my vanity for ages with barely any product left inside, so decided to finish them all off! I do love this body butter as it is my go-to product if I want smooth and soft skin. I think I will stay away from the S&G section in Boots for a while though!

Tesco Indulgent Conditioner in Coconut: Just a basic conditioner here for every day really, it smells really nice but it isn't a brilliant conditioner and I wouldn't write home about it but we've finally finished it all off. I probably wouldn't rush out to get it again.

Lipsy Body Scrub: This is just a random body scrub that we had in our bathroom, it was quite a nice scent and it was a decent body scrub, not much all to say about it really.

Sanctuary Body Lotion x2: More body lotions! These are lovely body lotions but we have far too many of them. it looks like one of them still has product left, which it does but it is stuck and I am just not that bothered about cutting it open to rescue it.

Gorgeous By Gok Shower Scrub: This product is absolutely gorgeous. I love Gok and absolutely love when Boots sold his Christmas gift sets. I would definitely buy this again but I am unsure if they are available to buy any more.

Cussons Imperial Leather Soft Touch Moisturising Shower Cream with Jojoba Milk & Vitamin E: I have finished off another bottle of this beautiful shower cream this Month. It is becoming the 'norm' now for me to pick this up when I go grocery shopping as we both love the scent and it generally is a really good body wash.

Hask Argan Oil Intense Deep Conditioning Hair Treatment: This was a little treat for my hair mid week last week. It was a nice conditioning treatment which made my hair quite soft  I did like it but prefer Hask's Oil Treatments rather than this conditioning treatment.

Soap and Glory Heel Genius: I have finally used this up. It smells really fresh but I don't think it is a great foot cream to be honest! I have a few tubes of this and they always come in the big gift sets at Christmas but they are something I could live without.

May Empties

It feels like I haven't written an Empties post in such a long time. They were one of my favourite posts to write when I first began blogging and I am not sure why I stopped writing them! Today I am here with quite a hefty post full of empty products, where I will be giving you the low - down on each and every product I finished this Month.

Cussons Imperial Leather Soft Touch Moisturising Shower Cream with Jojoba Milk & Vitamin E
This has quickly become my favourite shower cream. I have been reaching for it every day, it smells beautiful and lathers a lot by using the tiniest amount of product. This 300 ml bottle cost me about 80p (!) from Tesco. I am not sure why the price is so low, but have spotted the bigger bottles in the pound shop too. I hope it isn't being discontinued! I will definitely be stocking up as it smells gorgeous and makes me skin feel super soft.

Clearasil Ultra Overnight Wash
This face wash has been in our bathroom for what seems like an eternity, and me and my sister have finally finished it off. It is a nice facial wash, which is easy to apply to wash your face before bed. I do like this, but haven't seen or felt any amazing results from it, so probably wouldn't rush to the shops to get another one.

FCUK Body Spray
This is a mini spray of FCUK's original scent. It smells quite oriental and floral. The scent doesn't last very long, but is ideal to pop in your handbag if you are on the go and need a quick spritz.

Superdrug Coconut & Shea Butter Bath Milk
I picked this up not long ago and it hasn't lasted very long! It is a lovely bath milk which smells divine. I love anything coconut scented! This bath milk makes your bath smell beautiful, I would definitely pick this up again next time I am in Superdrug.

Sanctuary Spa Covent Garden Body Lotion
In all honestly, we have about 6 bottles of Sanctuary Body Lotion in our house (no lie!) so it is a relief when we finish them off! I love the scent and it is very moistursing, but lasts forever!

Scandalous Gorgeously Rich Moisturising Shampoo
Another product that has been in our bathroom for a while waiting to be used up, this shampoo smells gorgeous and I really do think it has helped make my hair feel softer and look a little more silkier, too.

Lovea Nourishing Mask
A truly amazing hair mask - I would definitely recommend. My hair feels in much better condition after I use this - I am gutted I have used it all up, but will definitely be purchasing another! I reviewed this in full here* last Month if you fancy a more in depth post.

Soap and Glory Butter Yourself Moisturise Lotion
Another moisturiser used up this Month, is Soap and Glory's 'Butter Yourself'. I have to be honest in saying I didn't enjoy using this product at all, which is strange coming from a huge Soap and Glory fan like me. I just didn't like the scent all too much of this product, and didn't really feel it made my skin feel softer. Also, it seemed to take a long time to sink into the skin.

Elemis Spa Home Jasmine and Rose Milk Bath*
I absolutely love Elemis Bath products, and I adore this scent. This was a little 60ml bottle, but lasted a fair few baths. I was kindly given this at an event recently, and am thinking of purchasing it in full size I love it that much! My skin felt fantastic after using this in my bath.

Matrix Biolage Color Last Cera Repair
I adore this product for treating my dull and lifeless coloured hair  It brings out the vibrance of my colour, it truly is a great product and I would recommend if you have permanently dyed hair like me.
I featured this product in a recent review which can be found here*. This product and others similar are available at Hairtrade.

Macadamia Deep Hair Masque
I am a big fan of Macadamia products, and this hair masque is one of my favourites. I am unsure where I picked this 30ml sachet from now, but I love using them. It ensures my hair feels silky soft after use, something my hair desperately needs as it is is terrible condition at the moment.

Have you tried any of the products I used up?

*I was gifted one product (Elemis Milk Bath) in a blogger event goody bag. I was not asked to feature this product on my blog . All opinions are 100 %  honest and my own. You can view my full disclaimer policy on the contact tab above*

Sanctuary Intesive Heel Balm

Sanctuary Spa Intensive Heel Balm

SS Intensive Heel Balm is available at Boots

I adore body lotions, I am always swapping the body creams and moisturisers I use but foot creams are something I never really use. I had this Sanctuary Spa Intensive Heel Balm in a gift set I picked up from the Christmas Sales and I hadn't used it, so decided I was going to see what wonders it would do!
Feet are something I wouldn't normally talk about here on my blog, but lets face it, we all have feet and we should look after them!

Every night for about 3 or 4 weeks I used a thick layer of the cream on my feet and would let it sink into the skin and wear cotton socks to bed. I noticed a slight change in my feet that they felt softer, but that was it really. It may be a product that takes a few months to work maybe? But I haven't noticed much difference. i probably wouldn't buy this again as I haven't noticed any difference really and would probably stick to a normal body moisturiser rather than buy a heel balm.

Have you tried any foot care products?

Sheer Sanctuary Indulgence Gift Set

Sheer Sanctuary Indulgence Gift Set

Bargain of the Week!

Hi everyone, today I wanted to write about a gift set I picked up in the January Sales from Boots. It was one of the Boots Christmas gift sets, which off course go on sale for half price after Christmas, and then during January, anything leftover tends to go on sale for 75% off.
I was looking at this item previous to Christmas, but didn't ask for it knowing full-well I was already going to receive the big Soap and Glory gift set. It originally retailed at £40, which is reasonably priced for the amount you get inside the set, but I couldn't justify spending £40 on myself during the build up to Christmas  When I saw it was only £10 a few weeks ago I snapped it up!

Sanctuary are one of those really well-loved brands by every generation. I adore their products; my favourite being their body scrub. As you can see, the packaging is in their classic 'orange' style and the box opens up intro 3 separate compartments, which will come in handy for storing all of my body care and bathing products into sections!

All of the products are generously sized, with 5 out of the 8 products being full sized. There is a good variety, too - not your every day, average bath set - you get the normal lotions and potions but also get heel balm and salt scrub. Not forgetting off course the little bonus of the set being the shower cap, which you can see in the picture below is a really pretty orange and red design (great because I actually needed to get one!).

Inside you get:

Intense Rescue Heel Balm (75ml) which retails for £7.50
Body Lotion 75ml which retails for £2.50
Luxury Bath Float 75ml (I cant find online but I imagine it retails at the same price as the other 75ml bath products)
body butter 300ml which retails for £9.50
body wash 250ml which retails for £5.50
body scrub 200ml which retails for £5.50
foaming bath soak 250ml which retails for £5.50
salt scrub sachet (60g) which retails for £1.75
shower cap (their new shower cap which is a different pattern retails at £5.75

In total all of this would cost you approximately £46 to buy separately  And I got the whole lot for £10 - complete bargain!!

Did you get any great bargains in the January Sales?
