My Sun Care Holiday Essentials

As the holiday Season is now underway, I thought I would share with you a small selection of my holiday essentials to stay protected in the sun.

  • A high factor SPF sun protectant lotion to use mainly for the first few days in the sun
  • A dry oil spray - for the last few days of the holiday. I really like the Malibu range
  • A scalp protectant spray
  • A moisturiser, lip balm, powder and foundation with a high SPF factor
  • A sun hat and sunglasses
  • A cover up
  • A good after sun gel like this one from Delph*; it is very soothing and will prevent the skin from peeling and will also help to prolong the tan and reducing the sun's ageing effects
  • A hand cream with a high SPF

Festival Essentials

Festival season has begun and its time to start prepping your bag for that glitter paint, dry shampoo and your sparkly wellies. Just don't forget those super - handy essentials! I have shared some items I think are brilliant to have with you, some very sensible yet still fun products that will be useful on your trip.

Plasters - I think plasters are super important when travelling anywhere - I am the clumsiest person ever so I always keep plasters with me, and these super cute Ocean life and Safari plasters from Dermocare* are just adorable. The amazing thing about these plasters is that they support WWF!

Sunscreen - Standing in the sun all day means you need to protect your skin; something a lot of us often forget to do in the UK is use a sun protectant. I am using this factor 50 Sun Block Lotion by Delph* meaning my skin is protected and wont be getting burnt anytime soon. I have been using this sun lotion when I have been on days out recently and it works really well; protects my skin and isn't greasy.

Hand Sanitzing Gel - Festivals and camping are known for being not one of the most clean activities so having a good hand sanitizer like this one from Soap and Glory is really useful item to have with you, especially if the queue for the bathrooms is a mile long!

Lip Balm - Lip balm like Carmex is an essential for me in the sun, not only does it stop my lips from becoming chapped, but it can double up as a hair serum, and can prevent those pesky blisters on your feet.

Tooth Care - As well as your usual tootbrush and paste, these handy essentials from Dentek are brilliant to have with you at a festival - or anytime really! The Floss Picks and Case* and the Easy Brush Interdental Cleansers* help to keep your teeth looking and feeling clean and fresh on the go. Flossing is super important (especially if you are eating and drinking lots at festivals) these are great to pop into your bag and keep plaque at bay!

What are your top tips for first time festival go-ers?

Travel Beauty Essentials

The worst part of travelling for me is packing. Have I packed enough? Do I really need to take this? Oh wait - I've forgotten this! All of which are questions that enter my brain hours before I'm due to leave. I have prepared my travel bag for my next outing, full of the essentials I need and a few I often forget!
  • A body cream or lotion is always something I seem to need when I haven't packed it in my luggage. Sanctuary Body Lotion is one of my favourites and a body lotion I would recommend.
  • As well as a perfume, I tend to pack a body spray with me just incase I need to add a little fragrance. Fearne Cottons Body Spritz is a really nice and light fragrance ideal for travelling.
  • Of-course a body wash is essential for travelling, and the Sanctuary Body Wash is one my favourites. As you can see I am a big fan of the brand, I think their travel sized products are ideal for Holidays.
  • I always carry hand cream with me, so this Cath Kidston Hand Cream is essential for me as my hands are so dry.
  • Travel size shampoo and conditioners are so easy to pop into your suitcase so you don't have to bring back a full size product back home with you! I have opted for John Frieda Frizz Ease Cream Curls Shampoo and Conditioner.
  • Antiperspirant to keep you feeling fresh and smelling good; Boots 24hr Protection Roll On is a reasonably priced product which does the job.
  • I feel a body scrub is good to pack with you if you are planning on visiting beaches so you are  able to exfoliate the skin. Sanctuary Body Scrub is the best body scrub I have come across yet and smells gorgeous!
  • Other essentials including sun cream, aftersun lotion, cleanser, toner, wet wipes, cotton pads, hair bands, hair clips and a body polisher are my definite must haves to take travelling with me.
What are your travel beauty essentials? Are there any that I have missed?
