October Empties

I love this time of Year - it means lots of pamper nights in and wrapping up warm and snuggly writing lots of blog posts. I love having a good old nosy at other bloggers Monthly empties posts, so I thought I would share a few products I have finished recently.

The product I am most sad about using up is the Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover. I have mentioned previously on my blog that this quickly became a firm favourite of mine. It is brilliant at removing eye make-up and I would recommend if you have sensitive skin like mine.
I hadn't used a Lush product in a while, so I was really looking forward to using Lush The Comforter Shower Cream* which I received in a very generous blogger meet goodie bag. The scent is so comforting (pardon the pun) and is sweet and relaxing. I will probably make a purchase of this next time I head to Lush.
I also used up my Britney Spears Circus Fantasy Perfume recently. I think it makes a good 'day-time' perfume; it smells refreshing, but it didn't bowl me over so I won't be rushing out to repurchase this. Lastly, I used up the Cath Kidston Wild Roses Hand Cream, it is quite moisturising and smells lovely, I didn't find it greasy either so I would probably pick this up again in the future.

July Beauty Favourites

Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover Camouflage Makeup for Face and Body
I have been using this product as a foundation for the past few Months, and I really love it. I use it sparingly as I feel I don't need to use a lot, and it blends so easily into my skin and looks flawless. Its a great match for my skin tone and I'd definitely repurchase this again. Although it has a hefty price tag, it is perfect for when I have those 'bad skin days'.

Clinique Take The  Day  Off  Makeup Remover For Lids, Lashes & Lips
This has to be one of the best products I have tried for removing eye make-up. It is incredibly gentle and in my opinion, removes around 95% of my eye make-up, even waterproof mascara. I use it just for removing eye make-up mainly, but it is also a generally good make-up remover.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Nourishing Lip Balm*
I have been using this every evening for a good while now. I apply a layer of product to my lips before bed, and I believe it really does work. My lips feel soft, hydrated and moisturised on a Morning, and I rarely have chapped or sore lips.

Sanex Roll On Zero% Extra Effective
Only recently have I began using roll-on deodorants again, after discovering how much I prefer them to a spray anti-antiperspirant. This is a really good one, which leaves me feeling fresh and clean for a long time. I have irritated skin, so a deodorant without any chemicals like this one is a must for me. The scent is pleasant and I've found Sanex to be one of the best brands I have come across for roll-on deodorant.

Maxfactor Colour Elixir Lipstick in English Rose
This shade is a beautiful rose pink; a shade I find perfect to wear any time of the day, and anytime of the year. The lipstick is well pigmented and has a great colour pay-off, doesn't bleed and lasts a good few hours without need of reapplication. As-well as lasting on the lips, it feels very creamy and I have found it be one of those lipsticks that are just so easy to wear.

Have you tried any of these products? What are your favourite products this Month?

An Introduction to Ponds Institute Skin Care

Pond Institute has been around since the 1840's, when the first Pond's Store opened in New York. Pond's Institiute is one of the first skin care brands to use hazel extract in their skin cream products, which has amazing soothing and reparative benefits. Their skin care products were loved and used by women all over the World - which shows their products are of a fantastic quality as they are still used and loved today!

I have previously used the Ponds Institute  Cold Cream* - it is a fantastic multi-use product. It can be used as a nourishing face mask, an eye make-up remover and also, of-course a gentle cleanser. I love using it as a cleanser as it is really refreshing and feels great on the skin. I have been trying it out as a face mask and eye - make up remover too, and it does a grand job with both of those! It helps to remove heavy eye - make up softly and it is a really gentle cream so doesn't sting the skin and leaves it feeling as fresh as a daisy.

The Ponds Institute Eye Contour Cream* was a new product for me. I was excited to start using this as my under eyes really did need a good pampering and I hate my large dark circles. I apply just a small amount every Morning and Night to my under eyes, and this Contour Cream helps to reduce puffiness and calms and nourishes the skin. I must admit, in the very warm Days we have been having in the UK recently, the eye contour cream has been my go - to product as I also suffer from hay fever - my eyes constantly sting and water in the Warmer Months so this product has been a really good product for me.

The Cold Cream and the Eye Contour Cream are both part of the essentials collection, which are available to buy from Boots, Superdrug, Tesco, Sainsbury's and  TheHealthCounter.com.
