Worth The Hype #1

It has been a while since I have blogged about a few products I really, really think are worth the hype that are surrounding them. I have picked just three products today that I own and truly love.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette
I think the Urban Decay Naked palette family is hugely well - known in the beauty blogging community, and I have to hold my hands up and say I love them too! This is my favourite eyeshadow palette of all time. The colours suit my skin tone so well, and the shadows are so easily wearable any time. I find the eye shadows great quality which do not crease after a long day.

Burberry Fresh Glow Nude Radiance No. 01
This is a great luminous base product which is good to use as a highlight or to use all over the face underneath or on-top of foundation. Although it is quite an expensive investment, it does help to brighten the face in a really natural way. I definitely think it is worth the hype.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate in 101
This is probably one of my favourite lipsticks of the year. It is a great matte lipstick which doesn't cling to chapped lips and the colour lasts really well without bleeding. I absolutely love the colour and I really want to try a lot more of the shades in the Kate lipstick range from Rimmel!

Have you tried any of these products?
Do you believe in the hype surrounding products that you see featured online?

Review: Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss Lipstick in 03

Yes, I have an unhealthy obsession with Kate Moss' take on these Rimmel Lasting Finish Lippies. I hold my hands up. Guilty.
If you haven't already tried these lipsticks... you should now.
I have quite the collection of these Rimmel Lasting Finish lipsticks now, and I can not praise them highly enough.
I picked up this one in shade 03 a few weeks ago, and the colour is so me. I wanted the shade for ages after  eyeing it up in Boots, but I couldn't really find many reviews or swatches on the internet of this colour. I took the plunge anyway, as, at around £5.49 a pop, you can't really go wrong.

It turns out this colour is quite a nude lipstick, but does have a very slight undertone colour of pink.

The left swatch is a full swatch, whereas the right swatch is a very light swatch, as you can see. The photo doesn't really do it justice!

Review: Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick in 19

Another Rimmel Lipstick review for you, well, not so much a review, a little praisal I suppose that this shade has finally came into my life. Yes, I am sad I know.

Rimmel London introduced the Kate Moss Lasting Finish lipsticks a while back (maybe a year or so now? I'm not sure). They have recently launched new colours to this range for Summer, and they are differentiated by the other Kate lipsticks as the little 'Kate' signature on the top of the lid is a light pink, rather than the usual red. Very cute, and handy if you are in a rush to find a lippie and know that those ones are good for Summer.

I always rave about Rimmel Londons packaging as it always looks sleek and pretty. The lipstick itself is a a rosy biege colour, the picture actually makes it look more pink, sorry about my rubbish lighting and camera skills, but the swatch below does it justice.
It has a very cream texture to it which is soft on the lips, and does not tend to crease with chapped lips. It is quite moisturizing, and lasts for a good 6 hours, which is not bad for a drugstore lipstick.

These lipsticks retail at £5.49, and are available from Boots and Superdrug in the UK. To see the other colours, click on the Boots website link here.

Review: Kate Moss for Rimmel Lipstick in 08

Review: Rimmel London Kate Moss Lipstick in 08

Price: £5.49 from Boots or Superdrug

The good: The classic, black lipstick bullet looks sleek and sophisticated, and a rival to 'high end' lipsticks. he packaging itself is beautiful; a very simplistic black bullet with Kates signature in red on the top half, and off course the famous Rimmel crown on the top.
The shade 08 is beautiful, a very easy, every day wear colour. The lipstick lasts a good 3 to 4 hours, which is good for a drugstore lip product. It is best teamed up with a clear lipgloss I have found, I really would reccomend this shade, I believe it would suit anyone. The formula used is lovely, and is nice used just lightly, or built up the shade really does compliment itself.

The not so good: I have found it quite difficult to find many faults in this lipstick in particular, it has quite literally lived upto my expectations. I would probably say that the swatch of the colour on th ebottom of the bullet does not give the lip colour justice, but now I'm just being picky.

Repurchase: Yes! Very wearable and a good lasting lipstick. 7/10

All photographs are my own.

Hope you enjoyed this post!
