In the past few Years, I have become quite self-conscious of the way my teeth look. The overall appearance of my teeth isn't too bad; I had braces as a teenager and am fairly content with the shape of my teeth. I don't like the colour of my teeth. I brush my teeth twice a day but am still unhappy with them. I have been thinking about booking to have my teeth whitened; but with so many products on the market offering whiter teeth for a fraction of the price of a tooth-whitening treatment, I wanted to have look into what is out there on the high-street first.

BlanX are the only toothpaste based on ingredients derived from Arctic Lichen (a natural extract) which helps to whiten teeth without harming them. They are well-known for being one of the best brands for whitening toothpastes. I was sent some of their best products to review and put to the test.

I received three toothpastes to trial; the BlanX Advanced Whitening Toothpaste, the BlanX Classic White Toothpaste and the BlanX Intensive Stain Removal Toothpaste. I found the Advanced Whitening and Classic White toothpastes really helped to improve the whiteness of my teeth, as well as being fresh, minty, and leaving my teeth feeling very clean. The best toothpaste out of the three for me, was the Intensive Stain Removal, as I felt it really did help in removing stains. I do not smoke but I do drink a lot of coffee which has resulted in some staining, so using this toothpaste really did appear to reduce some of the staining, leaving the overall appearance of my teeth a lot more white. The most impressive product is the BlanX Extra White Intensive Whitening Treatment. This product aims to restore teeth back to their natural whiteness. I have to be honest, I was skeptical about this claim, but in the last few Weeks I have seen visible changes in the colour of my teeth and out of all of the products I would recommend this highly.

Overall I am really happy with the colour of my teeth thanks to these products. I have to be honest and admit I was a little apprehensive to see if they would actually work and if there would be a noticeable difference in my teeth before and after, so I was really impressed to see visible results after just a few Weeks.

FabYouLess Card and Giveaway!

I was recently contacted by a company called Fabyouless, who are a company which specialize in a card membership with a difference.
Fabyouless Card membership gives you a 25% off or a 2 for 1 discount on a huge selection of treatments and sessions every time you choose to use your card.
 There are so many treatments you are able to take advantage of your discount with your Fabyouless card, such as beauty, clinic, dental, fitness, hair, holistic therapy, makeover, nails, spa, tanning and more.

I was offered to try out a Fabyouless card to use and share my thoughts with you all. The Fabyouless card costs £49.95 and is valid for 12 Months. A subscription service is also available where you would pay £4.95 a Month for the card.
To use, you simply log onto the Fabyouless website and search for a partner venue on the venue search page.You can also filter the search by distance, offer, availability and type of service. Once you have searched, a list will appear of all of the venues which partner with Fabyouless. You can then go on to look further onto each of these venues, where plenty of information is provided including the full postal address, distance, availability, discount and further information of each venue.
There were over 70 venues in a 10 mile radius to my house which partnered with Fabyouless; quite a few I had no idea existed and some of the venues I have visited before. You are able to request an appointment with some of the venues online through the website, or just call them stating you will be using your Fabyouless card.
The website is really easy and straight-forward to use. The layout is clear and all the information you would need is listed on the website. I have seen so many good reviews of FabYouLess online, I am really impressed.

Although I did initially think that £49.95 is a lot of money for a discount card, I do think the card is worth the money if you have regular hair appointments and have regular beauty treatments every few Weeks, as 25% is a great saving if you are on a budget and often do spend your money on beauty treatments. I imagine that the card would make a great gift for any beauty lover or someone that enjoys a good pamper on a regular basis. I think the Monthly subscription service sounds great, as you are able to trial out the card for three Months to see if it works out well for you.

The Skin Regime Review and GIVEAWAY!

A while back I posted about a book called 'The Skin Regime' - a book about skin care and skin peels by a lady called Dana. She kindly sent me some sample skin peels before, which I really liked. This time she sent full sized bottles of the new '1-4-all' skin peels, which is what I am here to review for you all!

The skin peels are best to use a fair few hours before bed. They are very simple to use: firstly, you clean your face with Dove soap then apply the skin peels onto cotton pads and apply to the face, leaving for a few minutes then washing it off afterwards. It does feel very tingly and initially I wasn't sure whether I liked it. Having using the skin peels every day for a few weeks instead of my usual skin care routine, I got used to the tingly sensation and realised how quicker it was than my normal routine. 

The results from using the 1-4-all skin peels has been fantastic. I noticed in a few days that my natural red blemishes on my cheeks calmed down so much. I do get spots often, but having using this it seems I have only had one or two appear on my face compared to the usual dozen!  My skin feels more glowing and smooth, I feel a lot more confident in my own skin and don't feel I have to pile on tonnes of foundation to cover my blemishes any more. 

In conclusion, I think the skin peels are very effective and a great alternative to other types of skin care. I really would recommend this product to anyone that needs a boost of confidence with their skin.

Blogiversary and GIVEAWAY!

The end of December 2012 marked my very first year of blogging. I never thought in a million years I would keep it up and enjoy it. I never even imagined I would make friends from blogging and be given some really great opportunities, all from writing about what I love. Another thing I loved about blogging - the interaction with other like minded people - its nice to know there are other people that spend 2 hours in Boots and could chat about eye liner all day!
